By far the worst building functions out of any base building game I've ever seen. I'd rather go and off myself than deal with that b.s
This game is not good. the devs sucks
This is one of those games that, every now and then, I look at it in my Steam library and think 'Hey that's a fun one, why did I uninstall it?' This happened again yesterday, so I reinstalled it. I prefer 'Use' to be 'F'. I've been mocked for rebinding keys by some of my friends, but this question always stops it: Have you ever heard someone say 'Press E to pay respects'? I set up all my binds just like I wanted, and I start playing. The screeen tells me to use WASD to walk, so I use WASD to walk. So far so good. Eventually it tells me to press C to crouch. I press Ctrl to crouch, because that's what I rebound it to. I crouch. The 'Press C to crouch' prompt remains on the screen no matter how much I crouch. On a whim, I press C. This removes the prompt from the screen. My frustration rises, so I decide to turn the tutorials off. Sidenote: If your design makes players quit the tutorial so they can start learning how the game works, you might have made a bad tutorial. Okay, no worries. It'll be fun now. I look at a plant so I can harvest it. The prompt says 'E'. My god. How long has this game been out and it STILL doesn't update the prompts to the ACTUAL keys? FINE, I say to myself, then I go to turn off the ingame prompts. Which doesn't appear to be an option, because *of course it isn't*. It's ridiculous how few REAL standards modern gamers have. The game itself is fine I guess, just a standard cutesy survival sim. But I am sick to death of game companies and their crappy anti-gamer attitude, and this game exemplifies that perfectly: An otherwise fun game ruined either by ineptitude or laziness, or perhaps both - because screw you if you're not like everyone else. I play games to destress from dealing with that crap in real life, there is NO room for in what is essentially a luxory hobby. Imagine you go to a Yacht Club (or whatever rich people do) and for some reason the toilets smell really bad and are labelled 'Garbage Disposal' Seriously, I want you to think about that happening. Immerse yourself in that situation. Think about how you'd feel about it, all the thoughts that run through your head. In particular, I want you ask yourself if you'd genuinely consider using those toilets. That feeling that you have right now is EXACTLY how I feel about PixArk. I had some good times with my kid on it, but it's far from unique in that regard. Without them, there is literally no joy to be found here, not for me, no anymore. I got my money's worth because I bought it on sale, but also: *I have spent longer typing this out than I did playing PixArk before I uninstalled it.*
