One of the most atmospheric games around. I loved the original trilogy and I continue to enjoy STALKER 2. The new update and DLC has brought me back to this game and I have enjoyed every second of it.
I really enjoy Stalker 2. This game is a seriously enjoyable experience for people who enjoy a dangerous world, grounded science fiction, and being a massive packrat. Though it launched in a poor state, the bugs have since been cleaned up to a large degree, performance is quite reliable, and the various QOL updates since launch have made the game feel more than complete. The devs have also added new equipment, quests and weapons for free since launch, which has helped to make the choices in game feel more expansive. The recent 2.0 update has taken a world that was already quite beautiful at times and beautified it even more so. And the DLC that launched alongside it, Cost of Hope, adds a very good storyline that genuinely is well told, taking you to interesting places, both new and old. If you enjoy looting, shooting, and exploring, and you think what I've written sounds good, I recommend you buy the game.
It feels... bad to play. So many settings are wrong by default: mouse acceleration enabled without an in-game setting to turn it off (you can't hit enemies the closer they are to you), Unreal Engine settings are all default (a mod fixes it which improves FPS and stability), balancing/design are bad... I think this is the first game where I had to re-load 10 times in the first hour of playing. Even worse: enemies see you in the dark from far away, when crouching through bushes, through walls, etc.

you literally walk around a empty game with nothing in the game same characters pasted everywhere there is no life to them the ai shoot through walls they also walk into the water and just die got to a certain point where its like cross the zone in the swamp and the game just repeatedly kills you there is no satisfying life to the game the previous games had more values than this game

Той хто відповідав за стрільбу в цій "Грі". Сходи в тир, і постріляй з реальної зброї. Я пройшов тільки половину, і дропаю, бо не вивожу абсолютно неможливої механіки стрільби.
There are definitely issues with the game, and it's not the same as the original trilogy. But as just a game experience it is pretty solid. The graphics and animations is really nice, the gunplay is good. The semi-branching story is kinda neat but wished there was more. Things that was bad that stood out to me (I played on Master difficulty) AI could definitely use more work even after the latest 2.0 update. Bushes can block bullets?? And the game kinda like 1/3rd running, maybe even more. Kinda becomes mindless sometimes with nothin going on.
