Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland

Overall, the game gets a pass from me. However, the last level is difficult because of cheap enemy placement and poor level design. There isn't much strategy other than hoping you have enough life to power through certain poorly placed enemies.

Meh. I'm not sure who this is for. I would assume people who grew up in the 90s, but it's WAY too easy. If you grew up playing NES games, then this will take you about an hour to 100%... on hard mode. The 8-bit graphics are very charming, and it's not just a gimmick. You get an NES ROM so you can play Rugrats on real hardware, which is cool. The HD graphics are hit or miss since it's basically a skin for the NES game. Sometimes they're hand animated and look great, other times they're motion tween and look terrible. It's kind of telling when everyone's first impression of the HD graphics is, "was this a Flash game?" If you have an NES, Rugrats is probably worth $5-10 just for a new NES game. Otherwise, it's just too short and easy. That being said, I'd LOVE to see more 8-bit (or 16-bit) Nickelodeon games fleshed out with more levels and challenges!

Simplistic, has some oldschool jank. I never got particularly frustrated. Fun in remote play together.

A short and fun little platformer game that brought back some old memories. There's nothing all that unique about the bosses or level design, but it's fun for what it is. If you're looking for a light game to play between bigger games, you could do a lot worse.

A fun little retro-style platformer in the vein of SMB2. Lots of deep-cut references to the early seasons of Rugrats that a lot of us that grew up with the show will get a kick out of. I still can't believe that the scary baby from Angelica's nightmare is one of the boss fights. The HD graphics do a great job replicating the look and feel of the show, while the 8-bit graphics legitimately look like they could've been from a lost Rugrats NES game from back in the day. That said, I would NOT recommend buying this game at full price. $25 is way too steep for a game that can be beaten to 100% completion in an afternoon. But if you can get it on sale for $10 or less, it's a really fun time for those of us with nostalgia for classic platformers and 90s Nickelodeon.

I enjoy the game but I wouldn't buy it unless it was 10 or under. its short and has some cheap deaths that feel like a cheap way to increase difficulty.

While this is a very short game it a fun one. The main game is deceptively easy so when the game finally rams up the difficulty at the end, it hits you like a old NES game. If I had a complain, I with the "HD" version had a zoomed out mode, since the game was clearly designed to be 8-bit first and it's hard to tell where it's safe to jump.

One of the worst games I've ever played since the NES days. Even Double Dragon, Castlevania, or Contra plays better than this. Or even Mega Man or any other Disney game. Did the developers play test this game at all? This would make kids rage bait!

I Checked a bunch of times, somehow this is not a remake? its overused people saying looks like 90s game omigod but its feels like it was produced back in the day, its not underselling. there's like 2-3 things that is missing but the level design is exactly what you would expect back in the day like adams family pugsley on the snes, thank god it has both a nes and a modern hand drawn it really adds up to the charm sadly I could play as angelica but... duh right
