We’re back in the distant Past, when “Rock & Roll” was just about rocks and “Fast food”, a dinner that you couldn’t catch. 2 cave dudes named Joe & Mac live in a peaceful and cool village. Cool it was, until a bogus bunch of Neanderthal snatched all the village’s women!

Only two words come to mind when playing this... Absolutely... and unnecessary. Like seriously... I dunno what the dev's were even thinking with this... animation looks like it was made with flash... garbage looking... music is bleh... mellow and sounds like elevator music in the background... you can barely even hear it over the obnoxious noises this game makes. This version is also based on the arcade version of the game (terrible) the SNES port is literally the best version of the game, it's improved on so many levels it's not even funny. The SNES version provides adequate challenge, secrets that actually matter, you can swap between weapons on the fly, allowing you to adapt to different situations... The fire weapon was actually good... In this version? Garbage mechanics, animations are jank, too many things are happening on the screen, hit boxes are super janky, the controls are abysmally clunky. I don't know why but some weapons just don't even function when aiming up. In the SNES version, every weapon worked when you pressed up, and the game never got confused if you were trying to do the somersault jump or a normal jump. This version is just all over the place... You'll make minor mistakes based on how you go about actually pressing the inputs... It's terrible in every way imaginable. There are branching paths, none of which matter, all of the bosses are the same on every play through. They used the major boss fights though, no pallet swaps so that's nice, I guess... It's short... it's lame... You'll get every achievement in one and a half playthroughs and be done with it... It took me an hour to get all 15 achievements... not even worth $5... There are 3 endings and they're solely determined by which path you decide to take out of the dinosaurs butt at the end. The top path is the worst ending, middle path is the bad ending, bottom path is the best ending... That's all you need to know... Play the SNES version... this version is dated and jank as piss.
𝕀 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕁𝕠𝕖 & 𝕄𝕒𝕔 𝕣𝕖𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖? 𝕋𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕞𝕪 𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕖𝕪... 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕀 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪 𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕕!
This game, back on the old SNES, was never a masterpiece; critics swatted it away even in its own era. But to eight-year-old me, it was a treasure. I got it as a birthday gift, and from that moment on I played it endlessly, until every pixel lived in my memory (it still does to this day). I knew every hidden corner, every cheeky secret, every dinosaur that whisked you off to a hidden heaven of one-ups. Nostalgia etched the whole thing into my heart like cave drawings on stone (puns are all intended lmfao) And then came New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja—a remake that managed to drain away every last drop of what made the old game even remotely “playable.” Yes, you heard that right. Call it a remake, a remaster, whatever you please… but for me, it was pure, unfiltered disappointment. No game has bulldozed my childhood memories quite as thoroughly. Joe & Mac on the SNES wasn't perfect... You get to control two cavemen on the quest to save their cavewomen, taken hostage by a cult of cavemen who wanted to feed them to dinos. Let's contrast the two for a bit, shall we? In SNES, If you push UP and JUMP, Joe (or Mac) performs a high jump where he could still hit with the club. In this version, the high jump still exists but it only works when it wants to, sometimes while you're trying to avoid the boss' attack range. In SNES, the levels were more fleshed out, in this version, there are no secret areas... and no dinos that take you to "exceptionally special" places. Let's just say this remake has NO SOUL. I recommend you play it just for nostalgia's sake, on Arcade mode so you finish it quick. 1/10 remake that RUINED my childhood for me. I don't want to even talk about it anymore! Don't buy it, don't recommend it, don't mention it... But if nostalgia gets the better of you, play it only once and move on!
I enjoyed it, I would of liked the option to swap to the classic games but what can you do. Very easy to 100%.
бестолковая шляпа.
Joe and Mac are the biggest pimps of the Prehistoric Era. They live in a primitive hut with a bunch of scantily dressed cave babes!
I wasn’t keen on New Joe & Mac at first. As someone who loved both the original arcade game and the Super Nintendo version, the new visuals felt like they lacked some of the old character, and the sound didn’t help much either. I kept comparing it to the Data East classic, and at the start that really held the remake back for me. But as I played more, especially in two-player mode, the game slowly grew on me. By the time we reached the final stage, I was genuinely enjoying it. Once you look past the presentation and stop measuring it against the original, there’s a fun, energetic action-platformer underneath. It may not match the arcade game’s charm, but it does manage to capture some of what made Joe & Mac so enjoyable in the first place.
At this point I think it would have been better to just sell the original game, instead of doing such a bad remake.
Grew up playing this on the snes and gameboy. Loved it as kid. My issue with this remake is the floaty controls make it very difficult. The art style is fine but kind of feels like a flash game with very floaty controls. I got it on sale so I can’t complain too much it’s ok but the original is much more enjoyable to play. But I do recommend if you can get it on sale but if you played the original and have access to it I recommend playing that over this.
Madre mía pack de 4 juegos con renombre y no dejaron uno bien, A cada cual peor y este es la guinda de lo que nunca se debería permitir hacer con clásicos. No piques es tirar el dinero.
