GAME IS BROKEN. Do Not Recommend! On April 22, 2025 the developer announced they are no longer updating Rogue Samurai. After a clean restart, every attempt shows a Samurai splash that flickers like a strobe and never reaches gameplay. Alt+Tab pauses it; click back in and the flicker returns. The game has to be force-closed to end the madness. Reboots did nothing. The Prologue demo works fine, which makes this even weirder. Price was one dollar, so it seemed worth a shot on sale. Given the stop-update notice, I don’t expect a patch. Other reviews report additional buggy issue. What I tried *** Verify game files, then reboot In Steam: Library > Rogue Samurai > right-click > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity *** Turn overlays off Steam Overlay: Steam > Settings > In-Game > uncheck AMD Adrenalin Overlay: Adrenalin > Settings (gear) > Preferences > toggle off *** Force a different graphics API via Launch Options (Steam > Rogue Samurai > Properties > Launch) -force-d3d11 -> black screen with a movable mouse cursor -force-d3d12 -> no change -windowed -> no change *** Driver and timing tweaks Various Adrenalin settings, frame limiters, and V-Sync changes -> no change *** Uninstall / reinstall No change *** Prologue check Rogue Samurai: Prologue works without an issue Requesting a refund. DO NOT BUY!

ヴァンサバの和風だが日本語が適正に処理されていないのでスキルなどわかりにい。 5面構成で１５分の耐久すればクリア。 倒した敵の経験値で新しい武器等アンロック。 １面だけずっとやれば経験値はたまるっぽいので先に進める意味があまり見いだせない。 わざわざお金出して買うほどのことはない。

Met the young developers in an indie game fair about a year ago. They have sent me copy of the game once they released it. It seems like they really improved the game quite a lot since then. The game lacks some polish here and there but its still quite a lot of fun. Even though it looks like they have stopped the development for financial reasons, the game still has quite a lot of content for its price.

Fell like tech demo, with powered up everything on pc, some achivements are broken forever, idk how i got some of them even, cause text not achivement. Or worse, didn't get achivement cause dev used another trigger. The game is like even bullet-hell with a lot of "meat" that speed up for every 15 minutes

The short answer, yes, it's worth picking up. But it certainly has its flaws. Pros: The music is fantastic. The graphics are decent enough. The core game-play is satisfying enough. I love the shuriken ability. I'm a big fan of any skill that rotates around my character in these types of games. And it has short levels, at 15 minutes a piece. Cons: It's pretty bare-bones when compared to other titles in the genre. I'm not a big fan of the majority of abilities in the game. There's no incentive to explore the map. Nor are there any items to pick up. I may not have much time put into the game yet. But I can see myself coming back to this from time to time. Despite it being the full release. I do hope the game continues to improve. It's not a bad game, just a bit low on content.

I like that i had $5 before i got this game..... Wish i had $5 now

Bei mir bewegt sich das Schwert von alleine, ich Lauf nur rum, Angriff geht von ganz allein, das ist ******* an dem Spiel, ich würde lieber alles selber steuern.
