Very barebones, but good. Keep an eye open for this one, but right now it's only an alpha. Gameplay is similar to House of the Rising Sun (you can drift in space, and use that to out maneuver your enemies) which is great. It's a multiplayer only game, with up to 100 players, but I haven't played with more than 3 persons online, so I haven't yet seen it's full potential. Graphics are bland, models are Ok, but the lighting could be improved. As of this review, theres only one fighter, one gun, one type of missiles and one map. Give it a go, it's free, but don't expect much at this time. I appreciate being able to play this natively on Linux.
This is a hard choice to not recommend this game, because its does what its out to do really well. But its PVP multiplayer and there is no playerbase, so the game is basically dead, which is a damn shame. Performance is great, graphics are allright, the cockpit is very detailed, the space ships and all around environment looks great. It detected my Xbox One controller AND the x52 pro from the start, it already had all the buttons mapped in "logical" places, although i changed a few of the choices on the xb control, and the controls are pretty basic, aside from movement, thrust and shooting guns and missiles there isnt much left to learn You can drift in space, and the mechanics work surprisingly good! It was really cool to have the controls ready to go from the start. Price is ok, as its on the cheap side, AND i got it on a 60% discount, so i definetively dont feel like im going to refund, the game is well worth this... or it could be as it seems like it could be really fun if you could get a bunch of friends to play... Sadly thats the reason i cant recommend this, i dont have more friends that own this game, and its basically dead, i havent had the fortune of bumping into another player. Im sure it would be pretty entertaining with a bunch of people... or even bots! but there is nothing to shoot at. So this game really is just a fly around peacefully simulator. Simple bots would make this game way more interesting, i liked flying around but after 5-10min there is really nothing to do. NOTE: i had to add "-vrmode openvr" To the Lauch options so it could run in the vr headset.

Beta review: Suggestions: 1) Accelerate/Decelerate buttons 2) Missile Lock feature 3) 3rd person perspective 4) Mouse sensitivity is HORRIBLE 5) Tracking a target is nearly impossible. 6) Target button (with a "sub-button" for Nearest Target) 7) Pilot player name displays 8) Damage/Health/Shield/Hull damage meters for 3rd person perspective 9) evasive manuevers option (button for barrel roll, for example) 10) different types of weapons (electromagnetic, kinetic, thermal, etc) 11) random "boosts" floating in space that you can fly "through" to collect (examples: speed boost, weapons boost, shield boost, etc).
This game is dead. :(
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Xbox One Controller
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/CAIiPbJh3C8 I don't recommend downloading this game at this point. I know it's free to play and in Early Access, but it's just not fun to play. The one good thing about this title is that it is neat to fly around in space since the controls are pretty good for flight. Keep in mind, motion controllers are not supported at this time. So you either have to use a gamepad or keyboard & mouse (you can configure keybinding in the options). It also runs smooth and I didn't experience any crashes or bugs. Unfortunately, there's nothing else positive I can say about this game. The visuals & sounds are bland. There is nobody online to play against (at least on the 3-4 times I loaded up the game online to play). While the game does have bots now, the bot AI is pretty bad. They seem to huddle up together and idle in space doing not much of anything until you get close. Then they will start shooting at each other, but usually on you pretty quickly. Most of the strategy is just try to sneak up on enemies and blow them up before they can blow you up. Hide around objects floating in space and wait for an enemy to come close and then shoot. Rinse and repeat. There is only one environment / map. I grew tired of this game after about 30 minutes. Rate 4.5/10. This game may be recommendable in the future. Just not there yet.
I really hope this takes off and fills in the gap that Moon Breakers left behind. This could be a nice quick and simple space dog fighter if it ever gets the numbers. Just giving a thumbs up to keep an eye on it and hope that others check it out. Edit: Just wanted to add with the battle royale craze has anyone considered a space battle royale? This might be a good candidate to start with.
This game has a bright future, I only see two problems, no players and no collision physics.
Space deathmatch, pure and simple. Lasers are primary missiles are secondary. Ship goes faster, slower and points in different directions and can spin. "Drift" button cuts engines and you maintain velocity a direction until released. This let you do cool things to out manoeuvre other players . Up to 100 players, not bots, max I've seen is 10. It's fun. I think I got it when it was free, but it's cheap and fun and I may just go and buy it for everyone I know.
Idk how I got this haha. But I got motion sickness pretty easily. I also felt the gameplay was limited in terms of what you could do. It was quite like a 3d version of a retro 80s space shooter. Felt a bit like that, anyway. If you like this sort of space ship game, you can try this, but yeah. Not for me thx :)
Pretty cool! Looks good just need to get some players in here. I get motion sick on ground based FPS, this didnt bother me at all. If you use a gamepad or flight stick you have to invert the right x setting.
