About

Mycofall is a bullet heaven title that offers fast gameplay, deep playstyle and build optimization and a unique mushroom core loop that blends collecting resources and killing creeps.
No aiming is required, you focus on moving, dashing, dodging, making build decisions and collecting your primary resource: mycelium. It spawns as you kill insects, the faster you, the more mushrooms spawn, got the idea? Perfect for the min-maxing kind of players, huh?
Face endless waves of twisted insects in our fantasy bullet-hell survivors-like setting. Play solo or team up online, share progress, and combine powers to stand against the swarm together. If you are looking for a game like Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor or The Spell Brigade our game is for you!

The unique mushroom core loop blends killing creeps and collecting your main resource mycelium that spawns as you kill enemies. If you want to master Mycofall's core mechanic you'll need to build your own playstyle that allows you perfect pathing to collect the mycelium while killing enough creeps to trigger the mushroom respawn-o-meter.
If you struggle to climb up the leaderboard it's most likely because you screw up paying attention to this system. No worries it takes some time and practice to improve your mycelium-per-minute-rate (mpm - yeah, that's a real metric).

In Mycofall your character holds up to 6 skills — but you'll spend most of your time leveling, evolving and morphing them rather than adding new ones. Want a crit-build? Done. Lifesteal setup? Yup. The "Fast Boi"-Build? Sure. You define how each skill behaves, what perks it gets, and what enemies it targets. And then combine it all for broken synergies.
Dive into character perk-sets that shift your entire playstyle, plus 15+ attributes like speed, mycelium-bonus-rate, armor, hp-regen, dash-range and more. The build space is deep. Craft your own, and climb the leaderboard.

Nothing kills replayability faster than missing meta progression. That's why Mycofall offers a vast library of permanent unlocks — giving you even more options and flexibility to define your own build. Unlock characters, skills and perks using one currency: The purple Meta Mushrooms.

Why spend hundreds of hours in a bullet heaven? Either you're grinding an audiobook/evergreen sitcom, or you're chasing the top 100. Maybe even top 10. Mycofall's global leaderboards are split by difficulty and player count, because comparing a 4-player difficulty 3 co-op run to a soloplayer difficulty 1 session isn't fair. Clean, transparent, competitive.
And now dive into the woods! Download the Demo, hit the wishlist button and munch some shrooms bugs creeps.

I have played bullet hells/heavens going all the way back to crimsonland, or contra if it counts. Mycofall is different from the majority of these kinds of games, fundamentally, if you are a fan of the genre, they take the randomness out of what weapons you get, and they strip out a lot of what you realistically don't use in a run, that only exists to give an illusion of choice, and if you have played these kinds of games enough, you will have had bad rng at the start of a run, and just restarted, or you've seen the slow capitulation of the genre to rerolls that again, just provide the illusion of random. I don't know that I want all bullet hells/heavens to switch to what Mycofall is doing, but I would endorse a MODE in all bullet hells/heavens doing what Mycofall is doing, because it is a great, predictable, skill based, good time, that doesn't waste your time, or force you to endlessly reroll. And it suits Mycofall very well I think it's fresh and wonderful, and an excellent value, and aesthetically it's perfection for me. ps. I know they HAVE a reroll mechanic, but I do not use it like I do in other games in the genre

Very lacking in build diversity and content. Also lacking lots of barebone features like unlocked fps. Just doesn't feel rewarding to play, bug pathing seems very rigid and fixed, animations are also very choppy, maybe due to the low fps.
I have to say that this game is decent at best. Sure its an early access title so this might be unjust. But there are some issues i have regarding this game in its current version. - The main focus of this game feels like its being colllecting the blue mushroom like this was a game like Pacman and with no pickup radius on these it makes it a rather tedious task. and it kinda takes away a full focus on the game. - No RNG. Sure its not a bad thing having the freedom of choice in picking your skills and so on. But it kinda removes the replay value. - Leaderboards.. sure i dont have to bother with it but it seems to be a popular feature of many games now. It just brings cheaters into the game. - No meta progression. As i said sure its an early access title and anything might change. these are just my issues i have with the game sure its being original to some extent some people might find it entertaining but this game isnt for me in its current state.
Early Access, and it's already running surprisingly smooth. I expected bugs, but so far I've only found two minor graphical glitches, nothing more. The gameplay is the reason I keep coming back. No bloated menu chaos, no generic mechanics — you can tell the devs actually playtest and know what's fun. Patches come regularly, and it's not just number tweaks, you can actually feel things changing. Worth giving a shot!
sobald man checkt, wie es geht, machts süchtig. Liebe den Grind <3
makes a lot of fun to play and for an early access game already has a lot to offer. definitley already one of my favorite bulletheaven roguelikes. you should definitley give it a try. (:
Very barebones game. Nothing original here. Music and animations are very lackluster. A hundred games do it better.
I'm following the game since the early playtests. And it is a huge jump from the first builds to the early access that the team made here! For me the game gets the most fun out of the coop multiplayer. Just perfect for some chill rounds with the crew grinding through some bugs^^
