Roads of Time 2: Odyssey
Casual game of 2021. Brian's desire to create a mixed drink based on ancient ingredients starts a chain of events that could lead to chronological collapse! Without hesitation, the heroes go on a journey to ancient Greece to correct mistakes and save history. Upon arrival, our heroes learn that a certain ruler is a mysterious scientist who was ahead of them and started to change history. (Developer) This is the foreword and the story of the game. An absurdly funny story, I should add. Funny, especially if you like English humor. The game is only marginally about the story, it's about collecting, building and removing blocks. This is very well done, especially if you set it to Complex. I had 7 hours of fun. Clearly recommended. Fazit: kaufen, kaufen, kaufen.
"Roads of Time 2: Odyssey" is a mobile app like game that's been dumped on Steam as a paid product, as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs and Russian asset flip copy + paste shovelware game pushers at 8Floor. These guys have dumped reskins of the same games literally hundreds of times onto Steam, polluting the place and making gaming worse for everyone. And this mobile app of theirs is no exception. "Roads of Time 2: Odyssey" is a pointless "12 Labours of Hercules" screen tapper/clicker mobile app. There's no gameplay, just tapping on the screen. The mobile app is made to look like you're making interesting decisions as you're presented with a map of a town/village/pathway that has you clicking on various things to collect things which are then consumed when you click on an obstacle, which unlocks more things to click on. This is so lame and shallow, you could write a script to randomly click the screen and given enough time, it would beat the game. The shady developer behind this valueless shovelware has proven to be a persistent nuisance abusing Steam Direct... they've dumped over a hundred valueless mobile app tier asset flips onto Steam, many featuring plagiarised/stolen stock art and other unethical, shady behaviours. The developer, Creobit/8Floor, has copy + pasted this particular game, with minor reskins, an insane THIRTY FOUR TIMES onto Steam... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? Asset flipping begins at home! Here's a list of 8Floors's copy + pastes of this asset:

Argonauts Agency: Captive of Circe
Argonauts Agency: Chair of Hephaestus
Argonauts Agency: Glove of Midas
Argonauts Agency: Golden Fleece
Argonauts Agency: Missing Daughter
Argonauts Agency: Pandora's Box
Elven Rivers 2: New Horizons Collector's Edition
Elven Rivers: The Forgotten Lands Collector's Edition
Emergency Crew 2 Global Warming
Emergency Crew Perfect Getaway Collector's Edition
Emergency Crew Volcano Eruption
Garden City
Gnomes Garden
Gnomes Garden 2
Gnomes Garden 3: The thief of castles
Gnomes Garden Lifeseeds Collector's Edition
Gnomes Garden Lost King
Gnomes Garden New Home
Gnomes Garden: Christmas Story
Gnomes Garden: Halloween
Gnomes Garden: Return Of The Queen
Lost Artifacts
Lost Artifacts Mysterious Book Collector's Edition
Lost Artifacts: Golden Island
Lost Artifacts: Soulstone
Lost Artifacts: Time Machine
New Lands
New Lands 2 Collector's Edition
New Lands Paradise Island Collector's Edition
Roads of Time
Roads of Time: Odyssey
Royal Roads
Royal Roads 2 The Magic Box
Royal Roads 3 Portal
These are all reskins of exactly the same game! What value is there in this spam/pollution glutting the Steam store for gamers? This valueless copy + paste garbage is taking up marketing space for genuine indie developers who are doing the right thing. It's harmful to the industry and to gamers. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The mobile app features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the mobile app was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The mobile app is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this mobile app is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality mobile app is to be expected.
good sequel, worth to play
Игра "Roads of Time 2: Odyssey" была в списке желаемого. Купила со скидкой за 15 рублей. Есть 2 режима сложности. Советую поиграть (есть первая часть Roads of Time).
Roads of Time 2: Odyssey is a relaxed, story-driven time management game that embraces a playful tone and accessible design over complexity or challenge. It positions itself firmly within the casual strategy niche, inviting players to step into a whimsical time-travel mishap that sends its heroes hurtling back to the era of Ancient Greece. Rather than treating history with strict accuracy, the game uses mythology, familiar landmarks, and humorous situations as a colorful backdrop for a light adventure focused on task completion and gentle problem-solving. The narrative serves as a connective thread rather than a central focus. After a scientific experiment goes wrong, the protagonists find themselves scattered across legendary locations such as Athens, Sparta, Crete, and Troy. The goal is simple: repair the damage to the timeline by completing objectives in each region and moving steadily forward. Dialogue and story beats are intentionally tongue-in-cheek, often leaning into jokes and exaggerated personalities instead of emotional depth. This approach keeps the tone upbeat and approachable, making the story easy to follow without demanding much emotional investment from the player. Gameplay is built around classic time-management mechanics. Each level presents a small map filled with obstacles, resources, and objectives that must be completed in a specific order. Players gather food, wood, gold, and other materials to clear paths, repair structures, defeat enemies, or uncover hidden items. Efficiency matters, as characters can only perform one task at a time, encouraging players to plan routes and prioritize actions carefully. While later stages introduce more layered objectives and tighter timing, the overall difficulty curve remains forgiving, designed to reduce frustration rather than test mastery. The structure of the game emphasizes quantity and consistency. With dozens of levels spread across multiple regions, Roads of Time 2: Odyssey offers plenty of content, but it rarely deviates from its core formula. Each new area introduces slight variations, such as different environmental hazards or myth-inspired enemies, yet the fundamental loop remains unchanged. For fans of this style of game, the familiarity is comforting and easy to settle into. For others, the repetition may become noticeable during longer play sessions. Visually, the game adopts a bright, cartoon-like art style that complements its casual identity. Environments are colorful and cleanly illustrated, with exaggerated proportions and expressive animations that prioritize clarity over realism. Characters and structures are instantly readable, which is important in a game where quick visual recognition supports efficient play. Cutscenes and interface elements follow the same playful aesthetic, reinforcing the sense that the game is designed to be welcoming rather than demanding. Sound design and music support this relaxed atmosphere. The soundtrack is light and cheerful, rarely drawing attention to itself but providing a pleasant backdrop to the steady pace of gameplay. Sound effects are simple and functional, offering feedback for completed tasks and interactions without overwhelming the player. Together, the audiovisual presentation creates a comfortable rhythm that suits short, casual sessions especially well. Where the game tends to divide opinion is depth. Strategic choices are limited, and most levels can be solved through straightforward optimization rather than creative problem-solving. Power-ups and bonuses add small bursts of variety, but they do not significantly change how the game is played. As a result, players seeking complex decision-making or evolving mechanics may find the experience too shallow, while those looking for stress-free entertainment will likely appreciate its simplicity. Overall, Roads of Time 2: Odyssey succeeds as a casual time-management adventure that prioritizes accessibility, charm, and volume of content over innovation or challenge. It is best enjoyed as a light diversion rather than a demanding strategy title, offering a steady stream of objectives wrapped in a humorous, myth-inspired setting. For players who enjoy relaxed resource management games and playful historical twists, it delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, easygoing journey through time that doesn’t ask much more than attention and a bit of planning.
