But dark shadows of the past are looming on the outermost borders of the Roman Empire. The young Viking leader has invaded the kingdom's territories to avenge his father. Markus, the now-adult son of General Victorius, leads the troops toward danger, leaving his beloved in Rome despite all her protests. Valeria is disappointed at not being able to join the battle and wants to prove to everyone that she too can improve the lives of the realm's inhabitants. Looking for a new role, she sets out with her unit as part of the rearguard, aiming to rebuild destroyed villages and build roads on the far borders of the realm. This is the foreword from the developer. As can already be seen here, the story is taken to a new level of nonsense. But so be it. Luckily the story doesn't say anything about the game. You could say back to the roots of the game instead. The main thing is to build a road. It's a collecting game and the cards are really good and, very complex. The level of difficulty is high to difficult. Correct! Well done. If you want to play with a time limit, you should prepare for a challenge. Very well thought out. Clear recommendation. Der junge Anführer der Wikinger ist in die Gebiete des Reiches eingefallen, um seinen Vater zu rächen. Markus, der inzwischen erwachsene Sohn von General Victorius, führt die Truppen in Richtung Gefahr und lässt seine Geliebte trotz all ihrer Proteste in Rom zurück. Valeria ist enttäuscht, dass sie nicht mit in die Schlacht ziehen kann, und möchte allen beweisen, dass auch sie in der Lage ist, das Leben der Bewohner des Reiches zu verbessern. Sie sucht nach einer neuen Aufgabe und macht sich mit ihrer Einheit als Teil der Nachhut auf den Weg mit dem Ziel, zerstörte Dörfer wieder aufzubauen und Straßen an den fernen Grenzen des Reiches zu errichten. Das ist das Vorwort vom Entwickler. Wie hierdrann schon zu ersehen ist wird die Geschichte auf ein neues Höstmaß an Quatsch gehoben. Aber sei es drumm. Die Geschichte sagt zum Glück rein gar nix über das Spiel aus. Zurück zu den Wurzeln des Spieles könnte man stattdessen sagen. Es geht in der Hauptsache darum eine Strasse zu bauen. Es ist ein Sammelspiel und die Karten sind echt gut und, sehr Komplex. Die Schwierigkeitsstufe ist hoch bis schwer. Richtig gut gemacht. Wer mit Zeitvorgabe Spielen will, sollte sich auf eine Herausforderung vorbereiten. Sehr gut durchdacht. Eindeutige Empfehlung. [h1]Short version: 86%[/h1] Unlike its predecessor, New Generation 2 is an enjoyable time manager. Sure, it has some inherited shortcomings, but they pale next to the good core mechanics and stage design. [h1]Long version:[/h1] Roads of Rome: New Generation 2 successfully blends the modern elements of Realore’s newer time managers with the gameplay of the original Roads of Rome trilogy. In other words, it is what New Generation 1 should have been. It introduces a new protagonist in a new journey to construct another forty patches of road and rebuild several villages while we are at it. The previous hero spends this game fighting some Vikings, so it is up to his wife and her 1–4 builders to clean up the mess of the invaders. It is a simple story, but it does its job. All stages have great balance; there is always something to do without overwhelming the player. Even the mechanics improved somewhat, adding a little flexibility. Simply put, with a bit of planning, you should never run out of any resource. However, there are some small issues. The workers move slowly, so many stages can last up to 10 minutes. There are no command queues, so the game requires a certain rhythm to meet the goal times. Luckily, these shortcomings are not as bad as in the previous game, New Generation 2 is a great time manager.

Fun game like every other in the series. One bad thing though - it crashes often, didn't experience that with previous episodes.

No multi-click mode - you have to wait until a worker is free before you can click, in any of the game modes.

No This game consist of sitting and looking at the screen an being ready to press the next action you want to perform. You cannot queue your actions. Th planning element of the game is negated by this.

Sehr schön gemacht. Hat mir auch wieder sehr gut gefallen. Straßen und Kastelle bauen macht immer noch Spaß. :-) Zum ersten Mal glaube ich ohne Aquädukt? ^^ Immer noch kein FullHD. Leicht ist mit ca. 20% Restzeit machbar, bei Mittel waren die ersten 5 Missionen schon recht knapp. Daher habe ich dann die entspannte Methode gewählt, um mir evtl. Frust in späteren Missionen zu ersparen. Für TD Fans ein Muss!

5ème jeu de la série, et second jeu depuis la refonte graphique, nous avons toujours un jeu de stratégie/gestion du temps avec le même gameplay. Depuis la refonte graphique, c'est très beau (C'était beau avant aussi, là c'est différent et très beau), le gameplay est rodé et solide, les musiques agréables. A chaque niveau il y a de 2 à 5 secrets a découvrir. SI on réussit les 40 niveau dans les temps impartis, nous avons droit à un niveau bonus. Rien a redire de ce coté là. Par contre, le jeu plante! J'ai eut un seul plantage en cours de partie, tout le reste c'était au lancement ou au chargement. Le jeu plante et retourne au bureau. Il n'y a qu'a relancer le jeu. C'est désagréable mais cela n'empêche heureusement pas de jouer ou de finir le jeu. Malgré ces petits problèmes, je recommande ce jeu!

Oh god, this game could not be over soon enough. It is a clear the road type of time management game with 40 levels to solve. I usually like these but this one, just like the first one in the series is missing so many quality of life improvements these type of games usually have that it is simply annoying to play. Generally works fine with Proton (7.0-2), but it did crash on me 2x when I was playing it for a longer period of time.

Has anyone gotten to level 22 and completed it..If so could you tell me for some reason no matter what mode or howmany times I play I can't get to the Island....
