Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 22.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The first run through was OK. I expect something similar for the second run, but it was quite a different feel, and it starts to become clear how the stories start to link up.
Road 96 genuinely felt like a journey rather than just a game I played from start to finish. What made me love it the most is the story and the morals behind it. The game makes you question your own choices and what you consider to be the "right" thing to do. There were quite a few moments where I wasn't sure if I was making the right decision, and sometimes I ended up feeling genuinely sad about the choices I made. But that's part of what made it so good: you make your choices, and then you have to live with them. The music was also amazing and fit the whole road trip atmosphere perfectly. As a matter of fact, I liked the soundtrack so much that I've actually been listening to the Road 96 playlist on Spotify since finishing the game. The graphics were also quite nice. They have a certain style to them that gives the game its own identity. It's not trying to look realistic, and I think that works really well with the atmosphere and the characters. I really enjoyed meeting all the different characters along the way. They didn't feel one-dimensional, and I liked how their stories could take unexpected turns as you got to know them better. Some of the twists genuinely surprised me and made me see certain characters differently. Definitely recommend it. The story, the choices, and the way it makes you think about your own morals are what really made this game special for me.

"Well, that was okay, I guess" was my immediate thought upon finishing this game. It’s definitely not a terrible game by any means, but it’s also not really anything too special. First, I didn’t quite understand the look/aesthetic they were trying to go for, as many elements of the game clash quite a bit with each other. It seemingly takes place in this authoritative, almost Soviet-inspired country, but then it also looks a lot like Western America and has very American-inspired elections? It also claims to take place in the year 1996, but outside of the designs of the vehicles and SOME of the music (I’ll get to that later), it doesn’t really lean into that aesthetic THAT much, and when it does, it’s not really very good-looking. On that note, the graphics, animations, and character designs are certainly of indie game quality, and not in a very good way. I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume this is the best they could do, as, like I said, it’s an indie game, but there were many points where the animations really took me out of some moments of the game, especially more sad or tense moments. I even joked while playing that the graphics, character designs, and animations were ugly enough that it felt like this game could be in the same universe as Hello Neighbor. Speaking of things like this, there’s one song in the soundtrack that, without spoiling it, plays most often when meeting with this girl you occasionally tag along with named Zoe. This song is genuinely terrible in my opinion and does not fit the aesthetic or time period that the game was seemingly going for at all. I joked with a friend while playing this that the track sounded like the stereotypical “millennial burger place” music. Outside of these issues, the game is relatively decent, though. The characters themselves all have their own individual stories that all come together into a good, albeit short, plot. I also like how this story unfolds gameplay-wise, with each individual player character you get to make choices for. Despite the issues I mentioned before, SOME of the aesthetic did land with me though. I enjoyed quite a bit of the “synthwave” style songs in the soundtrack, and while there weren’t really any true standouts, they were still good songs. I also quite liked the specific environment design for the border crossing area. I don’t regret playing the game (especially considering I got it for something like $3), but I just feel as though the game’s presentation really held it back from being something that I probably could’ve really enjoyed.
Very good game
