About
Rip Current is a tense, atmospheric single-player survival horror game set in the depths of a research facility where humanity’s desperation to save the planet has birthed something far worse.
You play as Carter, a special operations contractor sent to investigate the sudden radio silence from Post Salvos, the facility at the heart of the project. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that the experiment has gone wrong. The station is in ruins, flooded and overrun by engineered predators: chief among them, a ferocious and relentless Spinosaurus.
Features:
Deep Sea Dread: Explore a sprawling, aquatic research station. Navigate tight corridors, flooded labs, and evade the creatures that stalk the waters below and the darkness ahead.
Fight or Flight: You're armed, but not with much. Choose to sneak, run or fight your way through the unleashed predators.
Discover: Uncover logs, research files, and eerie remains of the station's staff to piece together what happened.
Will you shut down the experiment before it reshapes the oceans forever, or join the lost souls of Post Salvos?

While I had some minor quality of life bugs, and some hilarity with aggro enemy pathing, the game is still rather fun and worth the cost, just a solid fun little dino horror with some decent difficulty with the challenges.
Very enjoyable, was able to playthrough the whole game. Quality Good Storyline Good Shotgun Beast Add more ammo would make it even more enjoyable If you want to check out my vid here is the link https://youtu.be/mF_aq2mK71c?si=MUrYsccjfc3SP-Ac
Good game. Helps scratch the itch for a modern Dino Crisis-esque game. I enjoyed it, as well as Oakwood. I love the survival horror genre, especially the run and hide type games like Alien Isolation, Routine, and SOMA. This is similar, although you can fight back a little more. With limited ammo, you will have to blend survival styles: sometimes fight, sometimes hide under desks, in lockers, etc. I would probably give it a 3 or 4 out of 5. Not Isolation or Routine level, but a little more fun for me personally than Fossil Fuel 1 and 2 (they are too far-fetched for me). I would rate it higher than Oakwood if it had a few small tweaks: 1. Blood splatters are literally bright paint red. Might seem minor, but it hurts immersion a bit, especially as you see blood trails early on. Make them dark red. 2. Notes could be a little more cryptic to keep the mystery going. They sort of over-explain. Not a big deal, but it feels a little less like real correspondence. 3. Remember your gun choice. I preferred the shotgun, but after every checkpoint it switches you back to the pistol. 4. The big one: Programmed jump scares are actually really good, but when a dino is just out patrolling on its own, it would feel a lot more terrifying if the pathing was more erratic. Make it feel like they are really hunting you. Still a good game and totally worth it for the price. This is a genre that is far too underdeveloped (though there are probably a dozen+ unreleased dino survival games that are trying). Some highlights that involve spoilers:
*Wetland area was truly terrifying, great lighting and suspense build. *Design on the AI / server rooms were great / eerie *Great pacing and tons of [mainly aquatic] creatures
A decent, albeit a short game. The story is quite thin, but it is interesting enough. It works as a horror game/ walking simulator, but not as an action game. Shooting the dinosaurs has no impact on them at all, and the death animations/ path finding is not great. This all leaves combat feeling bad, however, avoiding and playing stealthy feels a bit more rewarding. I like the setting and the little nods to Jurassic Park, like the sign posts. The environment and set pieces are enjoyable to explore. I would love to see a big budget version of this, brought to life by the same team.
Great
Finally a worthwhile Dino game. I've been craving this for years and I gotta say this scratched a BIG itch for me. Loved every second of it
short story with a fairly interesting concept
Both the story and gameplay are incredibly immersive. Graphic wise, not very realistic as in it's not way too realistic like the most recent games because it looked kind of bulky at times. But it was a game I truly enjoyed playing.
