Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rip Current is a tense, atmospheric single-player survival horror game set in the depths of a research facility where humanity’s desperation to save the planet has birthed something far worse.
You play as Carter, a special operations contractor sent to investigate the sudden radio silence from Post Salvos, the facility at the heart of the project. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that the experiment has gone wrong. The station is in ruins, flooded and overrun by engineered predators: chief among them, a ferocious and relentless Spinosaurus.
Features:
Deep Sea Dread: Explore a sprawling, aquatic research station. Navigate tight corridors, flooded labs, and evade the creatures that stalk the waters below and the darkness ahead.
Fight or Flight: You're armed, but not with much. Choose to sneak, run or fight your way through the unleashed predators.
Discover: Uncover logs, research files, and eerie remains of the station's staff to piece together what happened.
Will you shut down the experiment before it reshapes the oceans forever, or join the lost souls of Post Salvos?

I mean its alright, generic dinosaur game. game mechanics are good however the voice actress is kinda lacking in fear or general emotion.
It's a light recommendation. It's not groundbreaking or especially engaging, but it's a reasonably fun game to complete in one sitting. My recommendation did teeter on the edge of "No" just because it's a pretty unpolished game. The weapons have no weight, jumping feels a little unintuitive (to the point that I had to repeat this one section at least 10 times), the stealth "mechanics" don't feel too good on account of dinosaurs spinning on a dime at random, and the environment doesn't lend itself too well to environmental storytelling. There are areas that feel to busy with assets that, thinking in-setting, don't make much sense where they currently are. But it does have a coherent story, the ammo distribution is fair given it's not a run and gun, and I never encountered anything game-breaking. The basic functions of the player character all work well enough and there was never a situation that was so unfair that it made me put the game down. Overall, it's an okay game. I can't call it a "must-play" but if you want something to take up your attention for a couple hours and you've got a few dollars to spare, this wouldn't be a terrible way to burn up both of them.

Made me jump in my seat a few times. Love a good dinogame where spino is the star!
Developers have found some graphics, sound effects and AI in a dumpster behind some discount store and gave them all the love and care that there is. Love you guys and wait for the next game.
O jogo é um 5/10 Numa promo extrema vale a pena, mas é muito mal feito. Nenhum game design e a história n faz sentido, mas da pra passar tempo.
Its worth 12 bucks, the graphics are mid 2000s but its a dinosaur game that doesn't suck. If you love dinos its a no brainer.
*May Contain Spoilers* I put this game off since enjoying a playthrough last year during release. I have to say waiting this long has been a real surprise. Firstly, the game is by far the best indie dinosaur survival game in recent memory. Its performance, graphics and gameplay are well polished with only small bugs related to dinosaur movement (glitching a little through walls, and somehow killing me through them on one occasion). But they are fantastically modelled and really well made, with pretty scary natural looking movements! Secondly, the story. I love how they weaved in the dinosaur experiments gone wrong with the AI thrown in, and the fact we are tasked with exploring and discovering what happened on the island. There is a good variety of dinosaurs, and the environments and different sections of the island were great to explore, feeling different and yet complete - albeit a little short. I would have loved more story content in the swamps for example or the hatchery. I don't think any other indie game has done it this good, I mean the dinosaur variety alone - baryonyx, Spinosaurus, mosasaurus among others - are great! Most indie games go for velociraptors only most of the time, Rip Current did something different and decent. I genuinely felt like it was a little short though, being around 2 hours and I didn't complete all achievements. I encourage the developers to make more like this but longer. A 6-8 hour game experience would be amazing. It was however fleshed out sufficiently that the story ended and maybe paved the way to a sequel, but its a stretch. You won't lose much if you don't enjoy it, since it's pretty cheap but again the length is probably a little short to price ratio. A permanent £5 tag is more than enough.
Much like its predecessor, Rip Current is a fun romp through a dino horror puzzle world...upon completing Oakwood- I sat down and just played straight through this as well- much better and more engaging story line. Definitely worth buying these two games in a bundle if Steam Sales are going. Solid fun.
This is NOT a game. These are three test levels of some guys who thought they could trick people into buying a few levels into a full game. Even for 7 bucks , this is a ripoff. Simply levels, simple graphics simple everything. When you play it first thing it will cross your mind is questioning yourself if you re not playing a 90's game. For 1 buck let's say it is worth, not a cent more. Like ALIEN franchise the dinosaur one is precious and it seems that no one knows to do it right. I wonder why...
Far from perfect but dinosaur is always good and none of the jank was game breaking
