A great Sequel
Return to Monkey Island is a well-structured, wittily written and marvelously voice-acted point-and-click game. The adventure it takes you on may not feel quite as magical as the earlier installments, but it also lacks the frustration inherent in those games. While this game is a bit on the easy side—especially when compared to the adventure gaming standards of the golden era—RtMI is by no means a walking simulator or an interactive story pretending to be a game. There are plenty of puzzles to be solved; it's just that you're unlikely to get stuck for a long time. All in all, this game is a worthy conclusion to one of the most important video game series ever created. Thank you for your service, Ron Gilbert.

Charming, funny, well-paced, has all the modern affordances you'd expect in a point & click adventure game, and is poignantly nostalgic.

Delightful point'n'click adventure, definitely a worthy entry to the series. The puzzles were very do-able ... even while drunk on grog ;)

Viimeinen (ainakin näillä näkymin?) Apinasaari vieraannuttaa ensin taidetyylillään, mutta nopeasti alkaa miellyttämään silmää animaatioiden elävyydellä ja hyvällä otteella. Ron Gilbertin ja Dave Grossmanin johtamana Terrible Toybox on työstänyt hyvinkin laadukkaan, mutta ekhä enimmäkseen helpohkon point 'n click seikkailun, joka tiukasti vie pelaajan nostalgian täytteiseen seikkailuun Guybrush Threepwoodin saappaissa. LeChuck kintereillä yritetään vihdoin selvittää Apinasaaren mysteeriksi jäänyt "SALAISUUS". Ääninäyttelijät kauttaaltaan hoitavat jälleen homman kotiin tuttuine äänineen vuosien varrelta, harmi ettei Earl Boen (kevyet mullat) sairautensa vuoksi päässyt osallistumaan LeChuckin saappaisiin. Pakko myös mainita jälleen maestrot Michael Land, Peter McConnell ja Clint Bajakian, joiden sävellykset ensimmäisistä sekunneista vie pelaajan takaisin tuttuun Apinasaari tunnelmaan. Loistava, loistava teos.
