Resident Evil Revelations is a great game. I've played a lot of Resident Evil titles, mostly the remakes, and this one definitely holds up. I honestly don't understand the complaints about the textures, it's a game that's over 10 years old, and I still think it looks great and plays perfectly fine. The only tweaks I had to make were adjusting the mouse sensitivity and disabling mouse acceleration. Compared to Resident Evil 5 original, which I played recently, the mouse and keyboard experience here was much better. RE5 required mods before it felt properly playable, while Revelations worked well with only a few settings adjustments. I really enjoyed the cinematic, movie-like presentation. The story is told through multiple characters perspectives, which keeps things interesting and helps flesh out the overall narrative. The one mechanic I struggled with was dodging, though that could just be a skill issue on my part. Overall, it's a very enjoyable Resident Evil game, especially when picked up on sale. I probably wouldn't have been happy paying full price for such an old title, but at a discount it's absolutely worth playing. 7/10 - Enjoying it so far
