Tried it like 7 years ago (the first hour of playtime) Came back to it today to see why I never played more of it The controls are so incredibly horrible that I must have erased it from my memory entirely. Feels awkward to play with M+KB and controller deadzones are so horribly set that aiming may as well be 8 directional. (Yes I tested other games and my controller settings, that's just how it is) This isn't worth full price, it's not even worth the 75% off. Don't even bother. Maybe it's better on a different console but I don't care enough to test my luck.

اخترت تكون بدايتي مع سلسلة ريزدنت إيفل بجزء فرعي لأنها كانت أول تجربة ديمو لها على جهاز نينتندو ٣ دي اس و كون بيئاتها متنوعة ما بين بري على أقدامك و بحري من ناحية تجربة الغوص و جوي بإستخدام الهليكوبتر و كانت ممتعة فميزها عن الأجزاء الرئيسية اللي يغلب على كثير منها البيئة القاتمة و التجول في المباني ، مواجهة الزعماء كانت معقولة بالنسبة لكوني جديدة على السلسلة و تنوع أحجامهم ، بالنسبة للقصة فهو السيناريو المعتاد لريزدنت إيفل لكن سردها البسيط ما ينمل منه ، مدتها متوسطة
Its a solid Resident Evil game. Good starting point if you've ever been hesitant on trying out the series.
Plays and feels quite good on the gameplay front, the dodge is a little wonky but it works. Exploration is pretty good, learning the Zenobia is a real treat when you get the mental map down. Raid mode is pretty cool and allows the gameplay to shine, and explore the ship in a different way. The story tries, I see what they were going for with the mystery angle to keep you guessing but my goodness, from narrative, to characters, to dialogue, it is sigh-outloud eye-rollingly bad for the most part. I feel the gameplay and overall story justify its existence, so yes I recommend but not glowingly.

Well it's a bit dated a this time but.... I am really glad that I played this game. It was sitting in my back log for ages eating dust but honestly it was fantastic game to finish. I highly recommend picking it up especially on sale because I paid for this game and all extras what...something like £1.00 which is insane! Also it runs flawlessly on Steam Deck, is where I finished this game completely. Cheers.
It's very meh for a resident evil game for me. I've just finished RE4 for the first time and started this game right after as I've read this game takes place before RE5. The story has been pretty poor so far, the gameplay is rough, and I couldn't care much about any of the characters including the ones I liked from prior games. I think If I played this on the 3ds when it came out then the excessive scanning mechanics would have seemed like a neat thing and I could have tolerated the clunky combat. I think this Resident Evil is too old for me to enjoy since I have zero nostalgia goggles to hide the rough edges. 1440p worked okay but I would have liked to see ultrawide be supported. I feel like the only real positive is that the ship setting is pretty well done considering where it came from. It's a shame that I didn't really like this game because it felt like a classic resident evil game at first but it turned out to be executed quite poorly. I feel like I've already guessed (and confirmed with a google search) the whole point of the story and it's connection to the other games
