not as good as the first, but not bad.

One of my favorite Resident Evil games. Cool story and the mechanic of switching between characters is really fun, love the Moire-blind --> Claire kick --> Moira finisher
Oh boy, where do I even begin? I should probably start by saying that I'm a loyal fan of the RE series, which makes this incredibly hard to admit, but this is the only entry in the entire franchise that absolutely failed to entertain me. By the second episode, I was already bored out of my mind. I only finished the game out of pure principle, just to get it over with, and I will never return to it. I rushed through the rest of the playthrough as fast as I could Here are my pros and cons, so buckle up, it's going to be a long read STORY MODE PROS - The monsters looked badass, and there were a couple of moments where I felt genuinely creeped out. It actually reminded me a bit of the monster designs from the good old Silent Hill games - The depressing environment fit the theme of the story perfectly, even if it became repetitive and bland after a while - The return of Claire, one of my absolute favorite characters in the franchise CONS - Identity crisis: While playing, you don't really feel like you're playing Resident Evil. Instead, it feels like a total mishmash of everything else (Silent Hill, Alan Wake, and The Last of Us). It’s as if the game itself doesn't know what its true identity is - Wasted potential of a legacy character: Claire feels like she’s just there to shoot monsters. There is no deeper exploration of her character, what she’s been through, or how all those past traumas shaped the person she became - Boring sidekick: Moira, despite being one of the main characters, is completely unmemorable and, at times, downright annoying - Weak antagonist: The game's villain is incredibly poorly written - Abysmal AI: The partner mechanic... honestly, I'd rather put a gun to my head and blow my brains out - Frustrating controls: The combat is decent on its own if you're playing with a controller, but playing on PC with a keyboard and mouse makes you want to rip your own balls off - Broken stealth: The stealth mechanics are pure torture and simply do not work the way they should - Useless skill tree: My god, the skill tree here is completely pointless. There are maybe a few interesting skills, but that accounts for about 1% of it. The remaining 99% consists of skills that are utterly useless and impractical in combat - Mediocre sound design: The soundtrack is nothing special, and some of the sound effects make absolutely no sense - Tedious gameplay: The gameplay feels more like an over-the-top action movie with a few puzzles thrown in. And calling them "puzzles" is a stretch. It’s not about solving riddles, it's just a lot of "backtrack across the entire map to pick up this one specific item" What bums me out the most is that while the core concept and story idea don't sound bad on paper, it completely fails in practice. It just lacks a soul, if that makes sense DLCs There are 2 DLCs available, in the first one, you play as Moira, and in the second, as Natalia. After rushing through the main story, I booted up both DLCs just to see if they were at least worth a shot. The short answer is no. If you are skilled enough, both DLCs together will take you barely an hour to complete. While they mainly serve to fill in some gaps in the main storyline, you won't miss out on anything important if you decide to skip them RAID MODE Honestly, I was really surprised by this one. This was hands down the most enjoyable and fun part of the entire game, especially since there is a huge selection of maps and characters you can choose to play as Well. that's it. If you're hesitating about whether to play this or not, trust me, you won't miss a thing if you skip this title
