About

Repterra is a base-building survival RTS set in a world overrun by dinosaurs. Manage your colony while battling massive dino hordes. Breed and ride your own dinos, unlock permanent upgrades, and fight to reclaim the world for humanity.
Building a massive colony is essential. Construct sprawling defences, set up vast production lines, and establish powerful grids to fuel your outposts. Each structure adds strength as you prepare to face relentless dinosaur swarms.
Assign human units (soldier, engineer, tamer) to one of your dinos and let them ride! Each human/dino combination has powerful and unique special abilities.
Put a male/female pair of dinos in your breeding station and let nature do its thing! The offspring may surprise you. Cross breeding with genetic mutations is encouraged.
Lure in enemy dinosaurs with food, distractions, or sex. Once tamed, they will fight alongside you.
Upgradeable hero units have special active and passive abilities, and will respawn when killed. Level up your hero and customize him with genetic mutations.
3 factions, each with unique units, perks, and heroes. Every faction emphasizes a different play style, from resource management and mobility to technology, dinosaur taming, or raw combat power. Choose the one that fits your strategy and conquer accordingly.
In 1963, explorers uncovered an uncharted island in the Indian Ocean, hidden by a magnetic anomaly and inhabited by living dinosaurs from the Triassic period. Despite restrictions, poachers smuggled these creatures to sell to the wealthy, who kept them as exotic pets. Confinement led the dinosaurs to become aggressive, resulting in escapes that were suppressed by influential elites.
By the 1990s, escaped dinosaurs multiplied uncontrollably. Millions roamed the planet, devastating human populations and infrastructure, turning vast regions into uninhabitable wastelands and collapsing global supply chains.
Now, humanity faces the daunting task of reclaiming these lost territories. As part of a specialized team, your mission is to control the rampant dinosaur populations and pave the way for humans to rebuild and resettle. The future of civilization is in your hands.

I think at this time it needs a bit more time to work on adding features and trying to make itself different from They Are Billions! outside of a few QoL improvements and I guess dinosaur breeding. For the price you're better off just paying the extra $10 USD and playing Billions until this game either releases or gets more content. The perks you can buy with DNA don't do much, and don't feel as if you're getting real progression for obtaining them. As another review said - it just feels like forced restrictions to make you try and feel as if there is some form of progression in the game. The roguelike is neat for your hero, but outside of that it isn't really that unique of a game. Wait to see what full release brings.
good game! hope to see more content in the near future.
The dev is rather passionate a bout making a quality game, he is very active on discord too.
Класс!! Рекомендую!
Extremely cool game - very much enjoying it. Alot of content for an EA game too.
[EN] I've only played two levels of Repterra so far, and I'm enjoying the game. Personally, I'd like to be able to create a large number of units—say, 200 or more would be great. Or more dinosaur units that you could fuse or mutate, and for the game to get more attention so that the developer, together with the players, can turn Repterra into a game where you find yourself saying, “Just one more round,” or you look at the clock and realize you’ve been playing for several hours without even noticing.
Fun and quite fleshed out for an EA title. [strike]I do hope that they add proper unit group management soon though.[/strike] + Really engaged dev, apparently. Recommended :)
HAVE FUN AND ENJOY, THIS GAME GET A LOT OF MY TIME
A reimagining of the gameplay brought fourth by games like They Are Billions, but instead of Zombies you fight dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are varied enough and offer different strategic approaches, but balancing are still, as of now, in need of some fine-tuning in terms of waves and unit strength. The air and water enemies/units make for an interesting shake-up in your strategy, making simple blockades of trees or body's of water no longer an ultimate defence against the enemy. The units you can train are fun and the breeding mechanic is interesting but I have yet to really care for it, it can definitely be explored further. The different factions you play as have slight differences and as you play you can unlock their perks and make any faction work like another, with the exception of the unique unit. Played 50 hours of the beta, so add that to my playtime, its a great game to play while listening to a podcast or if you're in need of a base builder that will make you work a bit for the rewards. I recommend this game, especially on a sale, IF you are into the RTS+BaseBuilding genre (or like Dinosaurs and want a decent entryway into the genre) The developer(s) are working on this game continuously and I can imagine I will like this game even more in a few months time, but as is right now its a full game worth playing.
