It's been a long time. 15 years... was it? I have absolutely no idea what's waiting for me out there. What if it's all... gone? I can't worry about that now, the room will start flooding soon. Better pack my things.
It was 1968. I don't know what happened exactly. A siren was wailing and the call I was on had been cut short. Soon after, there was a bright light followed by a deep rumble... it echoed through my entire body. Been stuck in here ever since.
I can almost see the surface now. I can't wait to feel the sun on my skin again. Maybe... just maybe... everything will be like it was?
Yeah, right.
Explore weird and wonderful locations scattered throughout Australia. From outposts resembling something from a history book, to cities where you could... swear... you... saw... a car without wheels?
Thankfully, the world still seems familiar enough. But something's... off. The wildlife's... different. And what's with all of these armed fellas runnin' around the place? They're definitely new! If you thought Australia was a dangerous place the last time you saw it, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Wanna get a better idea of how things work? Try to find a settlement and talk to some locals. Walk around and get feel for the place. Lend a hand or chop one off, the choice is yours.
The game consists of either making choices during cinematics or exploring interactive areas to progress through the game.
There are various locations where you can walk around, chat to people, make story based choices, discover multiple subplots, find reading materials, listen to audio cassettes and complete small quests. Many objects can be interacted with, and there are numerous items you can find to use in your adventures.
One book in the game contains over 120 pages full of information, illustrations and photos.
It's not possible to see all of the content in any one playthrough. You will need to play the game at least 3 times to see the majority of the game's content.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Repella Fella was one of the most entertaining games I’ve played recently. A while ago, while I was looking at old Flash games with a friend, I thought about searching that old game we know as "Psikopat Senaryolar". I had a feeling that wasn't its original name. It turns out the game was released in 2002 by an Austrian developer under the name "Ray." After playing the first two parts and experiencing some nostalgia, I learned that a third part had been announced but never released. While researching the story behind the game, I stumbled upon Repella Fella and learned about Phil’s plans for Ray Part 3 that never see the daylight and the struggles he went through with the series on his website. He had mostly abandoned the project and spent six years developing Repella Fella through crowdfunding. From the moment I started Repella Fella, I could tell it came from the same mind that created those bizarre drawings and scenes all those years ago. While the humor didn't have me rolling on the floor, it was entertaining most of the time. The story is set in such an absurd theme that it’s impossible not to laugh. At times, I encountered scenes that went beyond even the game’s usual level of absurdity. Even though the story itself isn't a masterpiece and isn't told perfectly, it was engaging enough to keep me hooked until I finished it in two sittings, totaling about 7 hours. Honestly, I’m 100% sure I got my money's worth. Now, let's move on to the issues. They are... actually quite negligible. 1- My biggest problem is the save system. The game autosaves occasionally, and you can also save manually. Even though checkpoints and manual saves create separate files, every new save overwrites the previous one. So, if you want to go back and try different things or see different options, you either have to pray you have a save, go back to a checkpoint and redo everything, or if you’ve somehow passed both, you’re out of luck. 2- Is this game stuttering? Dude, not during playable parts, but for some reason, the FPS drops during the animated cutscenes. I wondered if they were rendered that way... Toward the end of the game, the FPS dropped so low in a few spots that the screen would literally freeze. I couldn't figure out what caused it. My PC is good, but how good does a computer really need to be for a game like this? 3- I have a personal complaint. I gave my character muscle strength. The character is as strong as a super soldier. Despite that, I still have to collect lockpicks from here and there. Just break the lock, man! Or, for things I could easily solve using items I’ve already collected and have in my inventory, I have to go find specific tools assigned to those tasks. I know this is necessary due to the game's structure, but that doesn't change the fact that it feels absurd. This is a very personal complaint, and I don't think it’s something that can be "fixed." It’s not that important, either. In conclusion, as I said, it’s one of the most fun games I’ve played this year. The benefits of experiencing a bit of nostalgia every now and then. :-) I give the game an 8/10. It’s a fun production that delivers on what it promises well. I hope the developer considers the project a success. I wish them all the best. Also RIP Sausage. O7
Best aussie game
A very unique and funny game!
My first playthrough of Repella Fella was rather fun. I quite liked the humor of the game, the story felt interesting, and the world building felt extensive. There were lots of choices to make throughout the game, which made me excited to replay the game to see different outcomes. The end of the game though wasn’t really that good. It kinda just abruptly ends just as the story feels like it’s really kicking off. And then you get a bunch of after-credit scenes which weren’t very entertaining and kinda felt like they dragged, especially with that lackluster ending. On my second playthrough, I tried to make different decisions as often as I could, which revealed that the game doesn’t actually have any branching pathways. No matter what options you choose or items you use, the game plays out in pretty much the exact same way. Sure, picking different options gives you different cutscenes in the moment, but once that scene is over, the story progresses on as if you picked any of the options. This game is not truly a choice your own adventure, and it doesn’t actually feature multiple endings like the game suggests. The story is incredibly linear without any ability to really change it. Sure, the items you pick up give you more options, but they don’t actually change the trajectory of the story at all, all they do is add a little bit of flavor. The game was honestly a bit of a slog to get through the second time, and even more so on future playthroughs as I tried to 100% the game. Basically, this game offers you the illusion of choice while not actually letting you change the story in any major or even minor way. Also, while it does have the item collection typical in point-and-click adventures, you don’t actually use them to solve any puzzles. Every item can only be used once during a random dialogue option, and in most cases, you don’t even need an item to progress. And when you are able to use an item, it just tells you what item you’re missing, so there’s no need to even think about what items to use or how to cleverly use them to solve your problem. Without any attempt to have puzzles or make the player use their brain, it feels like items were included in this game just because they heavily feature in other point and click games, rather than actually understanding their purpose. As I said, my first playthrough was fun, probably a 7 or 7.5 out of 10, but as you replay the game and start actually analyzing it, it becomes obvious that this game is trying to replicate genres like Choose Your Own Adventure and Point And Click without actually understanding what makes them tick. If you are to buy this game, I’d recommend getting it on sale and only playing through it one time. 6.5/10
