🎮 Review of "Recon Control" – Dmitry Kozlov

"Recon Control" is a title that stands out for the way it combines turn-based tactical strategy with a fast-paced combat rhythm, resulting in an addictive and engaging experience. Developed by Dmitry Kozlov, the game shows how an indie production can deliver strategic depth, intelligent challenges, and an immersive military atmosphere. 🔹 Gameplay and Mechanics The strongest aspect of "Recon Control" lies in its gameplay. Players take command of a special forces squad, where every move must be executed with surgical precision. Each turn demands smart decisions such as positioning, cover, coordinated attacks, and resource management, all of which can determine the success or failure of the mission. The game goes beyond simple firefights: it requires real tactical planning, where anticipating enemy actions, exploiting terrain advantages, and balancing stealth with risk are key to survival. This approach makes every mission unique, constantly keeping the player in suspense while offering a rewarding sense of accomplishment. 🔹 Progression and Customization Another strong point is the soldier progression system. Each team member can be developed, gaining new abilities and equipment that allow for diverse strategies depending on the player’s preferred playstyle. This progression system provides a true sense of growth and encourages experimentation with different tactics and squad compositions. 🔹 Atmosphere and Setting The minimalist yet effective visual style enhances the tactical focus of the game, while still delivering the feel of covert military operations. The soundtrack and combat sound effects complement this perfectly, creating a tense and realistic atmosphere without unnecessary exaggeration. 🔹 Smart Challenge "Recon Control" strikes a solid balance between accessibility and challenge. Early missions serve as a natural tutorial, but soon after, the game presents complex scenarios that require quick thinking and constant adaptation. Enemy AI is well designed, ensuring battles remain intense, unpredictable, and never repetitive. 🔹 Positive Highlights Deep and rewarding tactical gameplay. Smooth learning curve with progressively harder challenges. Progression system that encourages multiple strategies. Immersive military atmosphere with strong audiovisual support. High replay value, with missions that can be approached in different ways. ✅ Conclusion "Recon Control" is a brilliant example of how indie tactical strategy can be both surprising and highly enjoyable. Dmitry Kozlov has created a game that demands intelligence, patience, and boldness, rewarding every well-executed decision with the thrill of leading a true special operations unit. It’s a highly recommended experience for both fans of the genre and newcomers seeking a game that combines challenge, immersion, and replayability in a balanced way.

All the Bad reviews say the gold unlocking stuff locks all the guns, but it doesnt. You just have to unlock the weapon skill to be able to buy the starter version of the weapon type, after that the weapons just get silencers or increased damage. The Controls really are hard to learn but after an hour or two you will understand them. And when you understand the game and have some different weapons unlocked, its a really fun and Hardcore Turn based Tactics game with low system requirements. Its really worth the money, especially if it is on sale.
👍👍👍
irritating luck based mechanics. The combat feels centered around lategame which makes early game feel very irritating, dont buy.
This game was fun! Will play more later
Got this gifted and didn't expect much. Turned out to be quite decent. Round-base fighting where you gotta take line of sight and cover into account, skill trees. different weapons and tactics. Whats not to love? The UI sometimes isn't totally intuitive. But beside that, for its price, it's fun for an afternoon or two. Glad I tried this out.
