For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolute Abzocke !
This game is fun for the first few hours figuring out and setting up production lines and trading routes, but after a while it just gets tedious. The problem solving just becomes a chore, that makes you realize you're playing single player board game (I don't know many board games that are single player that is fun). The (computer) competition is a joke and just acts more like an annoyance. Lots of people have probably pointed out that its essentially the first game, just with a bit more QoL improvements. I have to agree, there is nothing new or exciting if you played the first one. I'm already halfway through the campaign and I just don't care anymore, the tasks and "missions" just aren't keeping me interested. There's a game here, but it's not really satisfying or engaging. Feels like I'm ticking off items from a grocery or chore list.
The game is really clunky when it comes to having multiple tracks. Which is required on this version. No current mode for trains to share space on a rail. Once the curve tie ins are worked out it will be much better. But for now, there is a upper limit that reached pretty early.
A soft yes if its on sale and you miss Railroad Tycoon (RRT) series. The track building tools are very poor if you are used to Transport Fever. Why they bothered with signals at all is a mystery to me. They should've just copied RRT and stopped the slowest train to 'respresent' passing. The scenarios are fiddly and frustrating. It's still a yes, if on sale and you like train games. If neither of those things apply. It would be a no.
I bought this game thinking it would be a fun game to play with my kids. Turns out this game is definitely not a game that 12 year olds can play easily. LOL Instead, I am completely engrossed in this game and have spent many, many hours building railroads, demolishing railroads to remake them, routing supplies, building factories in cities, ensuring each city has enough supplies to continue growing, buying and selling stocks, buying farms and companies, and meeting checklist deadlines. This is a very in-depth game and tedious if you don't enjoy having to make small and large adjustments as you work your way through the countries you are expanding in. Also, you will almost certainly have to start the first chapter over again a few times until you figure out the finer mechanics of the game.
Gameplay is slow. Train stacking / where is places signals is poor. While some facets are better than the first version, they focussed on shiny (3d world) over an evolution of the game.
I am upset and disappointed with this game because it has potential but I don't feel like managing the tracks should be so difficult and complicated. This game also requires you to transport alcohol although I can't tell wether it's as bad as re1. This game is definetely not the worthy successor to RT3 we've been waiting for for over 20 years in my opinion and it also has a bad dlc policy although presumably not as bad as paradox and firaxis. Still, this is not cool. Edit review: One of the most frustrating games I have ever played probably in my entire life. Here are at least some of the problems I encountered on the first campaign mission: -having to change the trains pretty much every year. The maintenance sheds cost too much in upkeep and don't help much anyway. -artificial boundaries in territories you have rights to. -I had to demoslish the library to make room for the university but I forgot that you have to have 100 k population -transporting alcohol is an integral part of this mission and perhaps pretty much then entire game just like re1 -vastly inferior goods system to rt3 just like the first game other things: As I said in my initial review, we still don't have a worthy successor to rt3 but I forgot to mention that Kalypso won't allow me to complain about that on their game anouncements: They say I'm spamming. So in other words you won't get your worhty successor to rt 3 now keep your mouth shut about it. I think it would be worth looking into which between this game, Bannerlord, Pharaoh, and tempest rising is closer to being a worthy successor to the last great game in it's category. As for Rise of Nations and sailing we can forget about it for the time being at least. I guess I'll just have to keep dreaming of the time when this world will be saved and I won't rely anywhere near half as much on vgs, tv, and soccer to occupy myself. No doubt every hardship is a blessing I guess( Quranic verse). Have a nice day.
