I'm usually not a huge fan of puzzle games, which is why I was surprised by how much fun I had with Puzzle Party. The difficulty varies, some levels were easy, some it took me a lot of trial and error to figure out, but even I with my pea brain eventually managed to beat all 92 of them one way or another. The game has a story, which is probably its weakest point. Still, while it never really captivated me all that much, I also never found it distracting either. To me, Puzzle Party’s strongest point is the atmosphere. I never felt frustrated, even when I messed up a level for the tenth time. Something about the space background, the deep rumble of the ambient noise, and the simple graphics just has a calming effect on me (also the sound effects, which all have a super satisfying crunchiness to them). To sum it up: Puzzle Party is a nice little game with some creative and challenging puzzles, an okay plot, and a really cosy atmosphere. I’d say for the cheap price, you can’t go wrong, and it’s a great game to play on your break!

Highly recommended to those who enjoyed Pony Island. The game takes on a (sort of) similar idea of it starting a bit more innocently than what it lets on to be but quickly changes the tone. I found it very interesting and engaging in the way it tells its story by throwing you into a "server" and letting you interact with the developer of the game much in the style of "NO PLAYERS ONLINE" except with a proper chat and all.

Puzzle Party is a retro puzzler that blends sokoban gameplay with a mechanic akin to some pipe-maze puzzlers or some lazer-maze puzzlers. On its own, the puzzle gameplay is simple but really effective, and each level is treated with a degree of care and passion that makes stages incredibly challenging, but memorable and satisfying to work through. To compliment the gameplay, there is a mysterious narrative told through a combination of chatlogs with characters, devlogs, and other encounters that help to flesh out the world and characters you encounter while playing the game. Don't be afraid to use skips, some levels can be intimidating, but you can always come back and replay them to regain your used skips! Overall its a very challenging, but rewarding experience that anyone who enjoys puzzle games will have fun with.
