Witanlore: Dreamtime

Basically abandoned. Dont waste your time.

In its current state, I cannot reccomend this game, the graphics are fine. Quite a bit of the voice acting is completely coated in cheese, and the controls can get locked up if you fail to navigate the menu's properly. (Dont even get me started on combat) All in all it is VERY Early Access. However! If you want to support these devs to create something awesome, I suggest buying it to support them. Just dont expect it to be playable yet. If you want to buy it for the game, wait a long while. This harvest is still rather green. Edit: It has been a year seince we heard anything from the devs, and the one update they have was from febuary of last year. I think its safe to say this game is dead, I just hope the devs pick it back up one day, it had some potential.

Original backer here. This project had potential but it's been abandoned by the devs. The experience thought me a lot about Kickstarter, but I'm still very disappointed I'll never get to play what the initial pitch described.

Now that development is officially suspended, I'm comfortable saying I wouldn't recommend this game. I was hopeful at the start, because it involved members of the Nexus modding community, however it appears that the development team took on a project that was too ambitious for them to complete. I guess it's a lot harder to make a complete, working game than it is to mod someone else's.

[list][*]✔ Indeed, the graphics are not bad. I love the universe (bear, village, forest) of Witanlore, and the story doesn't look bad. The ambient is really cool, the land still a little poor of life, same for village (the only one actually, hyped to see more). By c*ns, I find the females not enough... "feminine". I would also say that I don't understand the fighting system, I even attack this damned boar, no way to kill him xD Something else, sometimes I can't move when I open inventory or map, I need to do command again for be able to move.[/list] Well, there are a lot of bugs and problems to fix, the map is far from being complete (although I liked the part that exists and I'm looking forward to seeing more), there is many things to add and upgrade in the game, but I'm 200% with the developpers, keep going and thanks for working on this promising game. Buy this game if you wanna support the developpers and why not try by yourself, but I can't lie about this game, it still an alpha where you can play maximum 2h/3h with fun. Anyway, remember than this review isn't here to denigrate the game, like I said before, I'm 200% with the devs and if I buy this game, it's for support they.

Aw man... I wanted to give this a good review, but I can't. It's bad. Really bad. The UI is bad, and often even broken, movement is swimmy and occasionally just plain stops working for no reason, combat is awful, the graphics are just sort of okay, but fail to wow... The list goes on. It's clear that the devs believe in what they're doing, and really are intent on making this the best the can, but...the best they can may not be all that great. For once, I legitimately feel bad giving a bad review, but...it's just really bad. Maybe someday it'll go somewhere, but the basics are going to need a lot more TLC before it can be called playable. Sorry devs.

I love the idea, however the games been abandon why is it still here?

This is the second time I have had to write a review like this. If you want a complete game, do NOT buy this. Development is suspended. What you see is what you get, an incomplete game. What is there is nice, fun even, but there is not much. So I will say the same thing about this as I did the other game I own with the same status. Only buy this if you want to look at something to build ideas for your own thing. For a dollar, you will at least get a couple of hours of play.
