A fun and stylish romp! Definitely not perfect. the scripted chase sequences could be very hit or miss, and the combat is a little messy, but the environments are beautiful, the levels are exciting, the music is fun and campy, the characters are charming, and I was solidly entertained the whole way through. My favorite little detail was the way fire would naturally spread over any wooden surface. It made for a surprisingly dynamic detail that I wish had been incorporated into the level design more
the game lacks complexity in ideas. bad combat, imprecise 3D platforming. it is just an ok game, quite boring.

Pumpkin Jack is a decent platformer that is definitely worth the price if you can get it on sale. The game isn't a bad time, but it is far from one of the best 3d platformers I've played. The controls are serviceable, the story is fun, and the minigames are probably the best part. My issues lie more in the fluff of the game. I 100%'d it, and I don't think that's the best way to approach this game. The levels aren't that long if you're just running through them and not hunting for collectables, bosses are fun on a first go around, minigames break up the flow, but the longer you engage the more the charm wears off. Overall I recommend the game on sale, and play through the game entirely before even considering if you want to collect everything.

The graphics and art style are good and it's a decent throwback to 90's 3D platformers. However, although some of the platforming is decent, I cannot reccomend this game unless your seeing it for $5 or less. There is a lot of repetition and the fighting mechanics are bad (it feels a bit hallow). All in all I'd have to say it is simply "not fun" to play.
