Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Sep 3 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Can't even describe how good this is
2009年的经典老游戏,周末回顾还是很有感觉的。可惜出了2之后,就没有下文
a remarkable game in good old days!!!
This game contains awesome, only downsides are I had to go through trial and error downloading random fixes to play with modern resolution and there's no steam achievements.
An old classic which I vastly prefer over its more (in)famous competitor and even its sequel, Prototype is THE sandbox superhero game for me. You play as a cross between Marvel's the Hulk and John Carpenter's the Thing, with all the insanity that this implies; you throw cars at your pseudo-military hunters, turn your arms into blades and/or tentacles to slice them up then run down ten blocks at mach speed and turn into a guy by ripping him in half and absorbing his biomass to evade the consequences of your actions - in short, it's an absolute blast. Each of the powers come with unique moves and combos, which really help distinguish them; some are unfortunately vastly superior to others for story missions, but for every other occasion they're all so completely overpowered it really just comes down to which ones you think are more fun. The main narrative is serviceable with a few memorable moments, never veering so far into nonsense that it becomes farcical; it goes all-in on the edge, but if you ironically or unironically think Shadow the hedgehog is the ♥♥♥♥ then you'll love Alex Mercer. Where the writing truly shines is the conspiracy mechanic: there are over a hundred NPCs scattered across the city with memories you can absorb to uncover the web of intrigue that led to your creation, each of them unlocking a node; the information you discover ranges from grimdark to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, adding a great depth to a world that otherwise is sorely lacking in variety. The way you can infiltrate enemy bases to find your targets, or hunt them down while they walk across the city, stalking them whilst disguised as a harmless old lady until you can finally corner them alone in a dark alleyway really makes you feel like the city's apex predator in a way no other game has truly captured for me. Unfortunately, it's not all crimson sunshine and blood roses; the story missions are janky, often repetitive and sorely lacking in enemy variety - which in fairness will only be a problem if you can actually run this thing. The game is very old at this point, and with the IP dead in the water you'll have to jump through some major hoops to get it working but trust me - it'll be worth it if you can.
