Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The Front takes place in a post-apocalyptic sandbox world populated by mutants and hostile factions. On this war-torn land, players will engage tyrannical imperial forces, exiles, thugs, and rebels in an epic battle that will determine the fate of humanity. Team up with your friends, explore ruins and enemy areas, craft weapons and equipment, build bases and defend them with tower defense-style traps, upgrade tech, pilot tanks and helicopters, battle the elements, and contend with fearsome foes!
The Vehicle Assembly system is now live! From chassis and frame to engines, weapons, and armor modules — mix and match parts freely to craft your custom combat vehicle from the ground up.
Build a high-speed assault rig, a heavy firepower beast, or a bizarre machine fueled by pure imagination — it’s all in your hands. Assemble, modify, upgrade — you’re in full control. Performance, looks, and tactical style all come together to define your war machine.
And this is only the beginning. In the future, we’ll be adding mechanical claws, flying vehicles, and customization options like paint jobs and graffiti. Your war machine won’t just be powerful — it’ll be uniquely yours.
Construct bases using hundreds of different building components to protect your resources and shelter yourself from this merciless world. The only limit is your imagination!
Strategically route monsters through a brutal crucible of traps designed to slaughter explosive beasts, invisible assassins, flying soldiers, and other catastrophically powerful invaders.
Craft and pilot over 20 types of functional vehicles, including pickup trucks, logging trucks, mining trucks, self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, attack helicopters, and more. In the future, The Front will also feature modifiable base vehicles, allowing players to build mobile steel behemoths.
Use monitoring devices such as pressure plates and infrared sensors along with complete circuits to construct automated defense systems.
Arm yourself with a variety of melee weapons, firearms, explosives, and even tanks and helicopters, then use these tools of war to raid the bases of other players, or simply protect your own territory.
Use Jammers to subdue NPCs you come across in the world. In addition to helping you in combat, these NPCs will also put their talents to use at workbenches to help you improve the efficiency of your operation and produce resources more quickly.
Craft water-powered equipment, then use it to develop your own agricultural system including spraying and planting. Choose from dozens of recipes to cook delicious meals.
Trek across deserts, forests, snowlands, swamps, and more to find unexplored and treacherous areas such as underground research institutes and restricted military bases. Along your way, you will loot structures, collect blueprints, and claim airdrops, all in the name of making yourself a force to be reckoned with.

Reviews
Devs basically abandoned the game, came back to slap on a 1.0 tag, and called it good. Also, the sudden influx of good reviews is because there's an Amazon gift card giveaway on their Discord lol. Make no mistake, this is still very much an early access title, and one that I'm not sure will ever reach its full potential. To the extent that this game even gets updates, they are so seldom. Most update posts from the past year have been them announcing server closures.
Do not buy. Abandoned cash grab of a half finished janky and laggy game. A shame really. It had so much potential. But the devs are dishonest and lazy.

Alright, so here’s my honest take after jumping back into The Front 1.0 — and I want to be straight with you all. I played this game two years ago in early access, and I was really hoping the 1.0 release would tighten things up. But after all this time, it feels like they’ve barely touched the optimization. I’m running this on a Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3070 Ti, and 128 gigs of RAM, and I’m still getting wild FPS swings — anywhere from 40 to 200 FPS — even with everything tuned and optimized. I’ve got DLSS on, shadows low, view distance low, and OBS recording with NVENC, but the frame pacing is all over the place. After digging into it with MSI Afterburner, I can tell you exactly why: the game is main-thread bottlenecked. One CPU core is maxing out while the other 23 sit nearly idle. My GPU usage hovers around 35–40%, meaning the game isn’t using my hardware — it’s just choking itself. And that’s the frustrating part. After two years of early access, this should not still be an issue. It’s running on Unreal Engine 4, and like a lot of survival games built on that engine, it’s still single-thread heavy and poorly optimized. The end result? You can have a top-tier rig, and it still feels inconsistent — like your system’s waiting on the game to catch up. Visually, yeah, it looks decent. The gameplay loop is still there. But performance-wise, this feels less like a 1.0 release and more like an unfinished beta. If you’re thinking about buying this game now that it’s officially “released,” I’d hold off until they push a serious performance patch. Because right now, The Front 1.0 still runs like The Front Early Access.
This game leaves me with mixed feelings; it's not bad, but certainly not good either. The videos are a LIE—just blatant marketing trying to bait people. !!! Don't buy the game for now. It is not at version 1.0 or anywhere near it; it is still an Early Access game. !!! There is a lot of potential, but it feels like many ideas have been implemented but not finished. - Basic functions often don't work properly, such as logging out of a server, running, or mining. - The blueprint recipes are so resource-intensive that you should think twice about using them. - Some resources you get from zombies are unusable because they are meant for a different game mode. - The AI is very simple and easily tricked: soldiers can't shoot upward, zombies can't climb over hurdles, and many enemies get stuck on objects and just stand there. - The Base Defense event can be won simply by building a blockhouse around the beacon and placing a vehicle in front of the door. The enemies won't attack the vehicle; they just stand there waiting to be killed, making traps unnecessary. - Enemies either do almost no damage or are far too strong. Enemy vehicles can be destroyed with a knife, an iron spear, or even a drill—except for one specific tank that requires many explosives. It is the hardest enemy in the game, yet it's just a random spawn. - The weapons have the same problem, so you end up using only three. Melee options are limited to either the stone spear or the iron spear; knives are merely tools for harvesting meat. - There is no need for any self-made vehicle except for the helicopter (for travel) and the two resource vehicles. Anything else gets destroyed way too fast; even the best tank can be lost to just five zombies. I could go on and on about the many broken and half-hearted features; I wouldn't finish in under 500 words.
DAMN WHAT HAPPEND TO THIS GAME?? look up first trailers for it on youtube.. then look at current trailers. it had some new ideas finally for the genre... now it looks like another free "zombie open world survival craft" I had high hopes for this one. Just wish they went back to the roots and tried again.
Another game I wont play because of Kernel Level Invasion.. - Update - Changing this to thumbs up because I found a way to play offline solo and uninstall EAC. Delete the EAC folder then in order to load the game, don't do it in steam but instead go to the installation location then click on the folders, Project War > Binaries > Win64, then go launch TheFront from there. May be a bit tricky the first time to get it to launch but after a while I got my single player game and can enjoy this game finally.
Nothing much new, as promised at the beginning(Naval vehicles, mods, new maps, etc). After a long silence, they simply slapped a 1.0 label on it and call it done. They should have at least create a modkit... What a shame, the core of the game is fun, but...
Waited 2 years to give this game a review, saw 1.0 launch and was actually excited to see what they have done to fix and add to the game. Had 600 hrs put in at the time of game launch and another 60 recently. The servers dont rubber band anymore every 5 seconds but thats the only positive note. Game feels super unpolished so far in EVERY aspect from building, pve and pvp. Highest pop on an official server is 30 and unofficial a whole whopping 6 people lol. I would say unfortuanelty this game is dead but the devs did all of nothing to keep its player base. Dont waste your money as this game is now just a last ditch effort money grab. Even if this game is on sale for $5, I wouldnt waste my money.
The game has a really neat idea, it was fun to play even with the bugs, they were developing it shortly after release, but at this point it seems that it was a cash grab. No real content updates, bare minimum on patching - likely only for the engine, so would not recommend anyone purchases. Hopefully someone picks up the IP or comes out with a competing game because the premise of the game and the gameplay was super cool.
No p[oint wasting your time on this game, The pop has died down, servers pretty much empty,. All you will do is waste your time because no matter how strong your base is, some freak will just teleport inside naked wit ha rocket launcher game had so much potential but the devs didn't care, There is the same bugs in the game now, that was there when the game was first released....
