Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
11 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
There are a lot of moments when the game really shows its age, but its pretty enjoyable nonetheless.
TLDR: Heller is supposed to be just and preventing the people of NYZ from being tortured, brutalized, and otherwise murdered by the evil Blackwatch military group. Yet, I've consumed so many innocent civilians to refill my health bar, and the game seems content with letting me do this. 10/10, would roleplay the diabolically deceptive, grumpy, truckdriver mouthed hero again! I remember waiting for the first game. I had the Game Informer that showed images of a man with large claws wearing a very greyish green hoodie. A while later, this man that we'd come to know as Alex Mercer had seen an update. He was now wearing a black and red jacket, and his claws, which had once looked like t rex arms on the pages of the 2007 magazine, 2 whole years before the game's release, looked like twisted tendrils of flesh and metal. It was a pretty big change, but it was also awesome. Needless to say, I bought the game the second it came out. I was not disappointed with ripping apart Manhattan for tens of hours. Years later I owned Prototype 2 on PS3, also bought the moment it released. I've played through both games many times, and there will probably be many more times. This is a genre of game we really don't see anymore, and it makes me very sad, yet nostalgic. I've read that...SUH POH ZEH DUH LEE....they're working on a Prototype 3. Unfortunately, it won't be made by Radical, as the company is gonzo. So, whoever takes the reigns, hopefully they will do the past titles justice. As for an actual review of the game, I'll make this short. Prototype 2 is an improvement on everything that made Prototype what it was, just as that game was an improved version of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, also by Radical. I was given Hulk as a birthday gift when I was a kid. I imagine it was not bought on the day it came out. Still, it DID steal plenty tens more hours of my life. Many of the mechanics present in Prototype 2 have been seen in its two predecessors. However, they have made many nice improvements and some interesting additions. One of my absolute FAVORITE abilities you have, is to put objects, and people, down with a push of the down button on the d pad. I don't know who thought of it, but I'd shake their hand if I could. Everything on display here allows for chaotic destruction within an immersive, eerie, absurd sandbox where it literally does not matter who you consume, attack, etc. You are all powerful, nothing can stand in your way. It's a wonderful power fantasy that doesn't need story or compelling characters to be fun, which Prototype 2 doesn't really have, especially when compared to the first game. It is, however, serviceable in introducing you to new types of enemies that await evisceration at that hands of your destructive abilities. There's a lot to do, a lot to upgrade, and plenty of collectibles to chase down for the 100%ers. Also, the Web of Intrigue makes a return, which I've somehow in my multiple playthroughs never fully filled out. I will never claim to be a trophy and or achievement hunter. Prototype and Prototype 2 are two of my favorite games. I'd love to see this genre, this kind of game make a comeback. Here's hoping they do actually make a 3. Play these before that, if you haven't already. They go on sale plenty, pretty cheap. And seriously, don't feel guilty about devouring that mother of 3 in front of her kids. It's for the greater good.

11 on sale4 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 4 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 11 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
