Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Promise with My Sister is a small-scale indie RPG that blends light strategy, exploration, and character progression into a gently paced adventure built around themes of family, memory, and perseverance. Developed and published by Carnival Pepper, the game sets itself apart less through mechanical complexity and more through the way it frames its systems around a personal, emotionally grounded premise. Rather than presenting a sweeping epic or high-stakes fantasy war, it focuses on a quieter journey that emphasizes bonds between characters and gradual growth over time. The narrative centers on a brother who sets out on a journey tied closely to promises made to his sisters and the memories they share. This premise provides both emotional motivation and structural direction, as much of the game revolves around protecting, supporting, and progressing alongside these characters. The story unfolds in small pieces through exploration events and collected memories rather than long stretches of exposition, giving the experience a reflective tone. While the plot is simple on the surface, it serves as a consistent anchor that keeps the player engaged with the game’s goals and progression. Gameplay is built around repeated exploration runs across branching paths and stages. Each journey offers opportunities to encounter events, gather items, and strengthen the party, with outcomes influenced by preparation and character composition. The sisters function as the core of the party system, each contributing different abilities or passive effects that shape how encounters play out. Choosing which characters to bring and how to develop them becomes the primary strategic layer, encouraging experimentation rather than optimization-heavy play. Combat is handled automatically, shifting the focus away from moment-to-moment inputs and toward planning and synergy. Instead of directly controlling every action in battle, players concentrate on building an effective team and equipping the right items before setting out. This approach lowers the mechanical barrier to entry and keeps the pace relaxed, though it also means that combat lacks the immediacy and tactical depth found in more traditional RPGs. For some players, this design choice will feel liberating; for others, it may reduce engagement during encounters. Progression is closely tied to collecting memories and items during exploration. These memories act as both narrative fragments and functional resources, unlocking upgrades, new options, and improved performance in future runs. Over time, the player builds a sense of steady advancement, not through dramatic power spikes but through incremental improvements and broader strategic flexibility. This loop gives the game a mild roguelite flavor, as each run feeds into the next, making repeated exploration feel purposeful rather than redundant. Visually, Promise with My Sister adopts a pixel-art style that leans into simplicity and nostalgia. Character sprites and environments are clear and readable, prioritizing function over spectacle. While the presentation does not push technical boundaries, it supports the game’s calm and intimate tone effectively. Some visual elements feel uneven in polish, which may stand out to players sensitive to artistic consistency, but the overall aesthetic remains cohesive enough to maintain immersion. The interface and quality-of-life features reflect the game’s casual philosophy. Controls are straightforward, auto-saving is frequent, and the option to speed up certain sequences helps reduce downtime. These elements make the game easy to approach in short sessions, which suits its looping structure and relaxed pacing. The experience rarely feels demanding, instead inviting players to engage at their own comfort level. Where the game may divide opinion is in its scope and depth. Those looking for complex systems, active combat, or extensive narrative branching may find the experience too light. Repetition can also set in over longer play periods, as the core loop does not dramatically evolve. However, players who enjoy gentle progression, team-building, and thematic cohesion are more likely to appreciate what the game offers. Overall, Promise with My Sister is a modest but thoughtful indie RPG that succeeds by aligning its mechanics with its themes. It delivers a calm, character-driven experience focused on exploration, memory, and familial bonds rather than spectacle or challenge. While it may not leave a lasting impression through innovation or scale, it offers a sincere and approachable journey that will resonate most with players who value atmosphere, repetition with purpose, and emotionally grounded storytelling over mechanical intensity.
