About
In Project Rebearth, you rebuild the world together with other players. The game is set a thousand years into the future, after an unknown event wiped out civilization nothing on the surface remained. Centuries have passed, and people are emerging to the surface once more. Play in a massive online multiplayer world where everyone shares the same exact 1:1 replica of planet Earth. Grow your town, trade with others for resources you can’t obtain on your own, face challenges, and uncover the lost history of the planet.
A day in Project Rebearth takes a day in real time. this means it is a game you play casually over multiple days and weeks, rather than finish in one afternoon. There is no combat. As your city grows, you unlock new features and gameplay mechanics in this world that never sleeps.
Choose any spot on Earth to start your settlement,
Build in a variety of biomes, each with their own resources and challenges,
Gather materials and manage your inventory to keep your inhabitants happy and your town thriving,
Discover lost knowledge to expand your capabilities and unlock new possibilities,
Make choices that have long-term consequences for your settlement,
Launch expeditions to search for ancient artifacts and piece together the true history of the world,
Travel across the globe to see how other players are rebuilding their own societies,
Project Rebearth takes place on a full-scale, 1:1 replica of our planet one thousand years into the future. You decide whether to start your settlement in the burning deserts, frozen polar regions, or wild temperate forests. Each real-world location has its own style, building materials, natural resources, and specialized production chains.
Explore familiar and unfamiliar corners of the Earth. Get inspired by the creativity of other players, build freely in the sandbox mode of the game and export any location as a high-resolution map. Perfect for map-making or integrating into offline adventures like TTRPGs.
The world of Project Rebearth is persistent. The game is a relaxed, long-term game that is not meant to be rushed through in a weekend. Your farms keep growing potatoes, your woodcutters keep producing lumber, even while you’re offline. Play at your own pace, whenever it suits you.
Send out expeditions to discover artifacts in the world. Little puzzle pieces that might hold the key to discovering how the world ended up the way it is now. What lead to the world being as empty as it is? Can you, together with other players, unravel the story of Project Rebearth?

Super
This is a very slow paced game and you do need to account for that before buying. That being said it has a lot of value in that slow pace and it does mean with some aspects you will not be too far behind others when you start. I was pretty miffed when I saved up for a week to upgrade by village to a town thinking I could name it. the pre-generated names, because you can't use custom ones, were terrible. They have so few names that sound like an actual place name. At the vert least we could have picked the starting letter or something instead of every place starting with C.

pretty neat
now dont get me wrong, it is overpriced but i think with just combat being added to the game it would become like 100x better and other systems would make it peak. generally it just feels more like a cozy city builder that takes months instead of a cool game.
