I guess I was pretty moved by the first chapter, but as the later chapters developed it wasn't as touching as I thought it'd be (in terms of the story-telling), so the game turned out more like a puzzle game in the end. The idea is creative and original. I liked the minimalism, but frankly, I didn't quite enjoy getting stuck at puzzle-solving. I wouldn't recommend this if it weren't for the first chapter.

A dramatic story
Worst game I've ever played
S O C I E T Y
This game while short, is a fun (AT FIRST) knock off clone of "Thomas Was Alone". The story itself was very deep and real and I liked how the writing shows the powerful emotions between the characters or blocks in this case. The game play, however, leaves much to be desired. It's pixel picky later when you have to play the "kids" epsiode. While I did look at a video down the road how to solve some of the puzzles, it's just pixel picky about it (you HAVE to be precise and in puzzle platformer games, makes its more undesireably fun than rewarding). Edit note: I did see were eventually you can swap between the two but not until you pass some of the very VERY picky puzzles of movement at the same time. It just doesn't execute well. Imagine Thomas Was Alone (FANTASTIC game BTW) but with azz poor control mechantics and what you have is A Very Pretentious Game Indeed. For the price ($1.99) up to that point of the game was very enjoyable and innovative with the key words. When it comes to platformer puzzles, nothing is more frustrating when YOU KNOW the solution to a puzzle (whether you figure it out yourself or see a walkthrough and trying to execute it afterwards) to fail very easily because the puzzle is pixel picky. We are humans. Not computers nor super robots. For that, sadly I have to thumbs down purely on the game play. Overall score 5/10 -5 simply because of poor game play mechantics.
Simple yet clever and beautiful. That goes for both the plot and the game mechanics. I loved the twists and the metagaming. Completing the currently (end of 2018) released chapters 1-5 took me 1,5 hours since I ended up scratching my head during certain levels. I feel that the price is right given the surprising yet intuitive mechanics. Definitely pick this one up if you are looking to kill time and want to play through something in one sitting without getting bored!
The price may be a bit high for the duration (i haven't finished it cause i got stuck in a level I can't beat but other say 1h so maybe im just halfway through) but I really enjoyed the experience. Play it more like an immersive game, and pay attention to the story; I think its very deep and also very relatable. It holds some great perspective on life/lovelife and has a lot of reminiscence moments (where you relate to a point in your life when something similar happened to you - both hurtful ones and cute ones) Overall I think its an excellent game to buy on sale :)
