I usually don't write reviews but this is a stellar exception. my lovely boyfriend gifted this game to me and told me i needed to play it, and he was absolutely right. This game has to be one of the best games i have ever played. full stop. EVERYONE needs to play this game. It's Fun. It's Art. It's a Masterpiece. I'm Hungry. :0) i <3 cc
Absolutely astounding game, which upon completion made me have to go out on a 45 minute walk to think on it and properly process. Just an incredible triumph of a story, told in a creative and deeply engaging way. Highly recommend for those looking for a short but incredibly sweet time.
:O(
This might be the best game I have ever played genuinely in my entire life Edit: now that ive sat on it for a while this game really is just incredible in every aspect ive been thinking about it non stop since playing it i bought it for my gf who also reviewed the game hi swing!!! and my bestie and i plan to buy it for more people because i TRULY believe this game needs to be experienced besides its such an equally funny and delightfully horrific game with one of the best and most interesting narratives that made me feel so many emotions that its gonna stick with me forever you made a piece of true art and i hope you are proud of it i hope one day to make something that sticks with people as this has with me!!!
This was an insane experience. I knew absolutely nothing about the game other than "you deliver food", so the second half totally blindsided me, as, I'd imagine, it did for many others who'd played it (speaking of — really wish the player count was higher!! I'll absolutely be recommending it to people). I think the game's biggest strength is the way it sprinkles around things to be recontextualized later. I've had so many "ohhh" moments while playing through the second half, and the distance between first encountering something and seeing it in a different light is quite nice. You're not hit with a reveal right off the bat, so you get to have some time spent in the dark wondering. For instance, I think
finding out that "Lyric" is SYN/FONI works much better at the end of Lyric's flashback rather than if you'd learned it right after you deliver the food.
The music is also amazing. I wasn't too thrilled in the very beginning, but it quickly picks up in the second half of floor 1. The humor's in the game is nice for the most part; there were a couple of jokes that didn't land for me, but otherwise, I've had some laughs. And the artstyle is great too!
The way the humans are drawn really contrasts the rest of the game, and I think it plays into the narrative perfectly.
If I had to criticize something, I think it'd be the fact that the reveals veer a bit too much into overexplaining at times. It's not bad, just somewhat of a rough edge. I also got stuck on how to get access to the tailors but ig that's on me for not choosing every sub-branch of the receptionist's dialogue. Overall, I had a fantastic time with it. Played the whole thing hungry as hell too for maximum immersion. Definitely will be ordering pizza tomorrow :O)
наверное... один из немногих обзоров на русском. Нет повести печальнее на свете чем повесть об роботе поднебесном. 100/10 всрато но со вкусом
