About
In Powerplay, you will manage the economy and the military strategy of an industrial nation. Build your base and secure key resources, while advancing through a classic technology tree. Define your way to survival in the finite, merciless world of Powerplay.

Build, equip, and deploy huge armies using the resources and technology you've developed. Expand your territory or defend your strongholds. Every decision matters, from choosing which weapons to produce to leveraging terrain and supply lines.

Building efficient supply chains is the backbone of Powerplay. Design and optimize networks of conveyor belts to transport raw materials to factories, where they’re transformed into intermediate resources and weapons. The challenge lies in balancing resource allocation and space management.

A core feature in this game is raw resource locality. You must strategically extract and transport resources to processing facilities to sustain your nation. You must create supply lines and protect them to maintain control of the land.

Old school CnC, still a bit rough but the dev is super responsive in the forums.
I played the demo before the EA and the game nails the classic RTS experience while adding some new elements.
Really awesome RTS with an insane amount of potential. The Devs are extremely responsive with the community, always accepting to feedback, and love the community engagement. Easily one of the best up & coming RTS for a myriad of reasons. Do not sleep on PowerPlay, with the structure similar to C&C but unit movement much faster / more responsive which will allow unit control / micro, community engagement from Devs, and the amount of passion & support involved, this RTS isn't going anywhere and we will be seeing a lot more updates to come to continue to make this an RTS staple. Very happy to have found this game, I strongly recommend it as it continues to grow, multiplayer is not out yet but many people do love RTS for the campaigns. Check it out!

Pretty good so far. Could do with a save game ability, hotkeys and more graphics options. I cranked Nvidia stuff and it looks a bit better but generally, it doesn't look bad at all.
The wall blood value(HP) is too little, and it must be 2 times more than current version at least. This is a good idea, but in the current version, it doesn't really work well as a defense. Additionally, I'd like to have a dedicated hotkey to toggle our walls open and closed at any time, similar to how it works in Age of Empires. In AoE, the builder has full control over whether the gate is open or closed. Also, the stone wall HP should be around 3,000 to 4,000. Currently there's only one tank available. I can see from the unit panel that there's still room for more units, so I'd like to suggest adding heavy tanks and other unit types, along with some faction-specific unique units to give each faction its own identity.
Pros: - extremely unique resource collection hybrid model (combines Factorio like conveyor belt production line with traditional C&C resource collection vehicles) - very affordable price and bang for your buck - really approachable and responsive developer/s who actively engage with fans on discord, and genuinely listen to constructive feedback from fans - Cool single player campaign, albeit basic and generic plot so far - Although the game is still in Early access (EA), current QoL features such unit responsiveness, mini-map, skirmish mode, ability to re-sell and salvage buildings, a manual save feature (albeit currently basic and not customisable), amazing sound effects of explosions from air unit bombers, and cool air units (like classic C&C) air units that take off a run way made me feel naustolgic C&C aerial bombing feelings from past classic C&C games -Has air, ground and naval units! Currently the air unit bombers is easily the coolest unit so far - Cool 2D 90s classical graphics and soundtrack from the C&C RTS era - Unique attack colours distinguished feature so show different attacks being more effective on different unit types Cons: - *Extremely bare bones* especially compared to other recent released RTS games EA (but this is also a lot cheaper than other recent RTS games in EA and made by a tiny indie team, so goes both ways) ->literally just 'one' faction, and set of units and buildings [even AI enemy faction has exactly the same units and buildings design] though developer plans to release a separate campaigns, and a separate 2nd asymetrical factions. would be cool if a 3rd eventual assymetrial faction was also released! -> no voice acting (even basic very basic voice acting would've sufficed, but I get the team's seemingly very limited budget probably limits this being introduced) -> Unit Path finding is currently a bit funky and unit occasionally gets stuck on objects and barriers (though not as bad as some other recent RTS EA games, but something that still needs work on) -> generic modern day setting is bland - graphics are a bit on bland side, but still better than most indie RTS games Conclusion: As a RTS fan for many years, particularly C&C and Factorio, this new indie RTS gem is a match made in heaven. Due to the game's very unique hybrid resource collection model mixed with traditional C&C gameplay, and very solid foundations in place, although currently very bare boned albeit still in EA. Obviously Powerplay being made by a tiny indie team with a seemingly quite limited budget, don't expect AAA production values lol. But i'd still *recommended getting this game*, if you're into RTS games, and particularly enjoy classic C&C type RTS games, but are also patient and willing to wait for this passionate and responsive tiny indie team to continue on fine tuning this very solid new RTS game with lots of potential
Think C&C, and then automation for resource handling, and excellent units. This is an easy recommendation for a game that's actually really good, with developers that listen and act upon community recommendations.
Only played 2 hours but I'm loving it so far, challenging and fun.
So far, SO GOOD! I just wanted to chime in here and say to anyone who is on the fence as to whether they should grab this game- DO IT! There's certainly some distance to cover until its final release so I will do a more in depth review at that time but goodness this game has some fantastic elements. Can't wait to see where this one goes!
