About

Polylithic is a survival game unlike any other, set in the Stone Age. Humans are not yet apex predators but one of many species living on Earth. You can be part of the change as a tribe leader, taking your people from Paleolithic hunting and gathering to building the first permanent settlements of the Neolithic age, paving the way for future civilizations.
But before that can happen, you will have to discover a world, craft the first proper tools and items in mankind’s history, research the first technologies that separated humans from other species, and build many villages for your tribe– helping them grow, prosper, and eventually settle down to let prehistory turn into history.
A Low-Poly World of Opportunity
The Polylithic universe is a vibrant place, with a world only barely touched by human presence. Search for resources in tall forests, snow-covered hills, and raging river rapids. Hunt all manner of animals to feed yourself and your tribe. A hint of sci-fi mystery lingers in this ancient world. Search for other human tribes (or what's left of them), learn from their mistakes, and build monuments in their memory, all set against a backdrop of vibrant colors and beautiful low-poly landscapes.
Prehistoric Survival
You will have to gather, craft, and hunt your way to survival in these colorful environments. Every animal is a challenge to track down, from the smallest rabbit to the tallest mammoth, as is finding the right resources. After all, this is the first time humanity has attempted it. How well would you fare in the wilderness?
Lay the Foundations of Civilization
You can experience Polylithic trying to survive on your own - or you can do what our ancestors did and form tribes. There's strength in numbers, and as the village leader, it will be your goal to look after your fellow tribesmen, take care of their needs and keep them happy. In return, they will work under your leadership, further growing the tribe, becoming Elders, and paving the way for the Neolithic Revolution.
Survive Together
Experience the prehistoric world with friends in the new multiplayer mode, supporting up to 10 players. Form your own tribe, share resources, and work together to hunt, build, and explore. Whether you coordinate as a group or strike out on your own path, multiplayer makes every survival story unique and unpredictable.

Very poorly optimized! Even with a 5080 and the game video settings on "Performance" (the only other option other than Ultra) there are constant stutters. Vsync on/off doesn't make a difference either.
I want to love this game; I wish I could. But there are considerable issues that prevent me from recommending anyone purchase Polylithic at this point in time. First, the pros: it's a beautiful game. The low-poly models are designed with care and interest, and the environments are gorgeous to explore. The low-poly rendering of the rivers, in particular, I really enjoyed, as the water almost looks like stained glass. The soundtrack is soothing and well-matched to the game, and the gameplay itself is engaging. The cons, however, are formidable: bugs and performance issues. The bugs are the less hindering of the two problems, typically involving animals and/or NPCs getting stuck in inaccessible locations. Through sheer luck, these NPCs seem to free themselves from time to time, allowing for key quests to be obtained/turned in. Not the greatest gaming experience, but not the worst. But the performance issues, oh man, watch out. It builds subtly over time spent in game. Save times, for example. Early on, the auto-saves report completion times of only a couple seconds. However, by eight hours of gameplay in the same character, the save times are easily double that, taking 10-12 seconds to complete. It's not the end of the world, but to me seems indicative that the more time you commit to your load file, the more bloat and problems are building in the background. The most glaring of performance issues comes from how the game locks up and freezes in later stages. By time my town centre was upgraded to Tier 6 out of 8, my top-of-the-line laptop could barely go five minutes without locking up and requiring a mercy kill from Task Manager. Simple tasks like crafting rope or accessing food storage upredictably summons the spinning wheel of death. It ruins the joy of playing the game, and as much as I am keen to explore the Tier 6 technologies (houses! seed gathering!) I'm wary of yet another crash lurking around the corner, especially when I am far from base and the controlled saves offered by interacting with the sleeping beds. Overall, there is great potential here. I am rooting for the dev team and their product. But If you are a player who want to stick with this game past the early stages and develop your tribe into the topmost tiers, I'm sorry to say that at present, you are going to be deeply frustrated and disappointed.
Needs more content needs rival tribes needs more immersive crafting 0.9 ?!
It's a good concept of a game. Very relaxing, good sound design, very simple combat system. I liked it, but the game does not feel 0.9 - it feels more like 0.1.9. Exploration feels boring, codex is half complete, no tutorial or tips how to do half of the things - you just have to guess and try. Also sprint speed is too slow that it's basically a power walking. Animation bugs, snap point bugs, no deconstruction for some unknown reason, projectiles getting lost if animal lays on them, weapon damage decreases randomly, tools might start dealing only 1 damage instead of 20. Sometimes for some bugs reloading save might fix them. After playing for 5 hours game saving takes 12+ seconds for some reason. After 10 hours game starts randomly crashing. Some achievements doesn't progress properly or doesn't progree at all. I hope the game gets bigger and get fixed.
After bashing my head against the game for an hour I cant say Im too motivated to play it. The resource gathering is really unsatisfying. Very much suffers from "oh thats not a thing I can pickup its just part of the background." The controls feel very janky. Especially the camera, sprinting and jumping. Overall it didnt really have anything that catches my eye. It has some good bones, but defiantly still has a long way to go.
After over two years of waiting, being told there would be deck support, it’s still unsupported.the game still has very poor performance. I can’t recommend this developer.
It's very good, I like every part of it
Polylithic (as an early access game) is a work in progress, but the parts that are complete are really well done. Multiplayer sandbox play is a blast and you really get a feel for how much *work* survival as a hunter/gatherer is. Big game will absolutely flatten you unless you use your big ape brain to set yourself up for success (i.e. attacking from a cliff, using the terrain in other clever ways, etc...) The developers are also really responsive and take feedback seriously, so I'm super excited to see where this game goes in the future!
I never thought that low poly synty looking assets could look so gorgeous. This game has created such beauty with the atmosphere and the color theme they chose. Aside from that the game is fun, they are working towards what i believe will be a great game when it is finished. So far the only problem I have is that a settler died and i tried to revive him but it didn't work. So now i am down a member and if this keeps happening I don't know how to replace them so that is going to suck when i am trying to build a village and having them working on tasks i need done.
If you like to play RPG and dont mind how graphics looks then this is the game for you. I like that you can expand but it takes time and how you can go across the map. Keep iut up cant wait for new things to develop.
