It's budget Satisfactory. Doesn't even bother with a storyline, just "You know what to do." Yeah, I do, I've played this game before.
I have just finished my 1st full run and as you can (hopefully) see im out of there. This is one of the few games in this genera that I have actually played to completion The others are Factorio and Foundry) and these are my thoughts please note that some of the issues maybe me and not the game. Problems: - At the end I has over 10,000 cleaned copper ore in storage and the same for Clean Iron Ore and that is not not counting how much I had just dumped on the floor because I couldn't be bothered to build more storage. - Some of the items you can make have no use for example the solid fuel maybe this could be used to power the train in a future update. likewise I never bothered making some of the fuels like the light or heavy fuel as nothing needed it. -By the late game I found I was leaving the game to run why I did something else because I was just waiting around for the final tech cube to be made I admit I only had 1 machine working on making them but having more would have made no difference because of how long some of the items needed took to make. -The train is pointless its easier and more time efficient to just run a power cable from your main base to any vain and a conveyer belt back. - No need for the turret as you never get attacked and 2 clips with the machine gun pretty much destroys the spawner. I know it is in EA and understand that the Dev will be working on more but this is just a few things I think need sorting out. Positive: - A 10 min quick go can easy become oh flip its been 4 hours already. - Driving the train is fun especially being able to use the whistle. - Getting the train up to full speed then jumping off can end up with some fun situations. - The satisfaction of flying up in the air to see the spaghetti of conveyer belts. - Controls are very responsive - Graphics are bright and joyful - So much potential for future additions. What would I like to see in the future? - More enemies that actually attack your base - Fences / Walls to defend your base - More control over where you land - A reason to use a number of the items that can be made but have no use. - A better weather system - A day night cycle - Instead of a patchwork map have a choice of base maps that have different amounts of resources E.G a lush green map full of trees and rock, but (what ever the red ore is called) is rare or a wasteland where all the trees are dead and sparse but (the red ore) is all over the place. - Continuing on from the last point, Once you have built your space ship you have a chance to fill it with cargo before getting in and taking off. Once you reach the upper limit you can then select a new location Basically A new map where you start all over again only this time you start with the ore you stored on your ship. The "Plot" is you have been sent to a system to set up mining on multiple planets and the challenge is to complete every type of map one after the other. (in any order the player wishes) Ok this is a lot longer than I thought so IF your still reading thank you. I will just end it with this. I have enjoyed playing and can not wait to see what is to come.
Essentially copy/pasted satisfactory/factorio, and didn't understand either. The resource nodes are large enough that you can just complete the game on a single one. Not kidding. Enemies don't actually attack you? So what was the point of that? They kinda sorta exist on those ferrocrystal deposits you need... to research weapons.. so if you don't research weapons... you never need them? Resource RNG is pretty stupid - nearest iron ore deposit to my starting one is over 2 kilometers away - but it doesn't matter I guess, because I will never need it and can just afk on my starting platform...??? Factorio was good because of the urgency, and this does not have that. Satisfactory was good because of the graphics and sass, this does not have those. Ugly little game made by uncreative thieves. It's actually to the point where Coffee Stain should probably sue these guys. Even the alignment and snapping icons (the blue and orange arrows) are the same shape and color. The belts are the same shape. The splitters have the same features. Many of the buildings are similar in size and shape. The ore resources look the same, like they just took Satisfactory assets and low-poly'd them whole cloth. There is zero originality or creativity here; none whatsoever, and every place their skeevy little 'mashup' tries to merge the things it stole, it's horribly unbalanced or pointless.
If you like factory games like Factorio, Satisfactory, and StarRupture this is a game to play. It has the same indie quality of a game like Foundry. But I like this one a bit more due to the fact there are enemies to deal with. Also this is using the Unreal Engine 4. So you don't have to worry about any of the bullsh*t performance issues you get with the awful version 5 of Unreal Engine. This alone is a great reason to support this solo developer.
The mechanics are there, content isn't. Quite a few things look promising, but the world feels very empty. Issues: - Challenged vertically. For some reason it feels like it's harder to build vertically in this game than satisfactory or foundry. - Progression/receipts. Research tree is short. Effort/reward ratio for electrical pack feels skewed towards effort multiplied by small scale (instead of needing 'deep' lines like in factorio, it's almost one machine per product). Iron plates and copper wires fill a belt entirely from a single contructor, etc - Boring world. This game mimics satisfactory, but a good chunk of satisfactory's 'factory' mechanics deficites are compensated by exploration. - Boring combat. - Floor snapping mechanics probably needs to be reconsidered. - Factory scale feels tiny. Partially because a single contructor fills a belt fully, partially because we start with a single iron mine and can't scale it up for a while, partially because the world feels huge. On the plus side: - Runs fairly smooth, I noticed no bugs. - Far more space than satisfactory (but on the downside it makes the factory feel smaller) To me this feels like a demo, not an EA.
Satisfactory für arme Leute. Macht Spaß und es gibt nichts zu meckern.
5/31/26 Update Thank you for the response, re purchased and downloaded the game and multiplayer is working without issues. 5/28/26 Game looks fun for the time i spent playing but MULTIPLAYER IS NON FUNCTIONAL AT THIS TIME. I spent about a hour playing but if you are joining a friend in muilti player it will lock up system completly when trying to access the reserch bench. if that get fixed i will repurchase. game was refunded.
хм... довольно интересный микс строительный тут вам и Satisfactory, и Factorio, и Engineeg Alpha, и Foundry и другие и что интересно, версия игры 0.3, только вышла в ранний доступ, а уже есть чертежи и поезда
I like it so far but it is like playing a silent game, where is the sound (machines, wind, atmosphere)? I had to quit. I need some kind of sound.
I had a really good time with Belts of Iron. It is a factory automation game that clearly takes some inspiration from Satisfactory, but I don't see that as a bad thing. I'm a huge Satisfactory fan myself, and it's nice to see more games in this genre. I don't consider it a copy, but rather a different take on the automation formula. The game features a large procedurally generated world, enemies, and tower defense elements. Right now, I would say it offers around 30 hours of gameplay, maybe more or less depending on your playstyle. One thing I really appreciated is that the game feels very polished. I didn't encounter any obvious bugs during my playtime. There are quite a few items to craft, and you need to build production lines and factories to create them. The automation is enjoyable, although it is not nearly as complex as Satisfactory, which is completely fine for this type of game. The game does have a few weaknesses. The world generation looks quite artificial and not very visually appealing, which can already be seen in the screenshots on the store page. There are also very limited building options for walls and floors at the moment. Most of them are simple stone structures that don't really give the feeling of building an industrial factory. Despite these issues, I genuinely enjoyed my time with the game and will continue playing it, especially considering the price. If you enjoy automation games and titles similar to Satisfactory, I can definitely recommend it. My rating is 7.5/10. The game has some really fun mechanics and a lot of potential, but there are still a few areas that need improvement. I will keep following the developer and look forward to future updates. I hope they continue putting a lot of effort into the project because this game has a very high ceiling and the potential to become something special.
