As a Xcom fan love to see another game in this genre. great game so far, there could some quality of life upgrade like clicking on the personnel count in the base opening up the personnel list menu in that base, same for vehicle bay. Controller control has some bug.
what has happened to this game? it locks up all the time and most of the search sites now are gone before I can explore them and my quests disappear after brief time...
Один из лучших представителей жанра xcom. Комплексный, сложный в освоении в первые 10-20 часов, чертовски увлекательный.
Once you get the hang of it, a set of genuinely novel mechanics which bring flexibility and new thinking to the xcom formula. Great fun, with some genuinely interesting worldbuilding and mystery. Runs well, play with the TFTV mod and tweak to your preference
c'est un jeu qui pourrait etre trés bien, mais meme en mode bleu ( facile ) il est trop dur, pourtant je connais ce genre de jeu, j'ai joué a toute la série des xcom entre autre, et franchement il est injouable
Отличная игра. Лучше XCOM однозначно.
I got 450h+ on Epic, now i got it on Steam as well. Better than x-com2.
Many years past, still a fun game to play. It's a shame there is no Phoenix Point 2 in development.
Phoenix Point — 176.9 hrs Played on: Windows 11 Pro (26200) · 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K · 128 GB · NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 · NVMe SSD My time: 176.9 hrs Fun 7 · Skill Ceiling 9 · Onboarding Tax 8 · Jank Tax 5 · Dad Tax 6 The Verdict: 7.5/10 — "Worth the sleep debt." Phoenix Point is what happens when the guy who invented X-COM rebuilds it in his garage, gets the important 20% gloriously right, and then ships it with the doors slightly off the hinges. I have 177 hours in this thing. Coming from someone who measures games in "minutes I could've been asleep," let me be clear what that number means: I did not stay for 177 hours because it was smooth. I stayed because the tactical layer is the real deal. Free-aim ballistics, shooting the gun clean out of an Arthron's claw, overlapping overwatch cones you actually have to respect — this is the first XCOM-like since Firaxis that made my old Brood War lizard-brain sit up straight. Solid strategy beats twitchy reflexes here, and after two decades of RTS I will die on that hill happily. Now, the jank. It's real, I won't insult you. The AI occasionally forgets how overwatch works. A base-defense mission once froze hard enough that I said a word my two daughters are not allowed to hear. The Willpower economy actively punishes you for using the cool toys, which is its own special little cruelty. And the turns are slow — this is not a "sneak a mission in between meetings" game. This is a "kids are finally asleep, pour the drink" game. But five years on they're still patching it, the bones were always better than the launch reviews admitted, and Steam's parked at a steady 73% — which is polite code for "the people who pushed through the rough bits mostly fell in love." Verdict: if you came up on the 90s/2000s tactics era and you have the patience of a functioning adult, this earns every bit of its jank. If you need polish, or you're squeezing games into 20-minute windows, wishlist it and wait for a deep sale. 👍 — for the strategy lifers, not the tourists.
Great game after finishing XCOM2 (full trophy completion).
