About
In this bold turn-based RPG, where musical numbers meet thrilling combat, join pop singer Cadence on her quest for stardom.
After being shut out of the Noteworthy Song Contest, Cadence realizes that her solo act might not be enough for the judges. As she travels across Note to the Rock City of Durandis, the EDM City of Lumina, and more, Cadence fills out her band with eclectic and powerful musicians from lands afar. But something's brewing in the distance...the Harmonic Convergence is playing havoc with the world's musical energies, and dark forces are working behind the scenes to disrupt Note's natural harmonies. It wasn't in the set list, but Cadence and the others need to step up and make sure music itself still has a future on stage.

Feels a lot like Pokemon Colosseum and Gale of Darkness - obviously it's rhythm inspired instead of creature collector. Pros - Chill nostalgic vibes - (mostly) Great and diverse soundtrack - Musical-like story mode - Clear visuals - Appropriate amount of side quests - side quests are not the main attraction - Simple combat system with a surprising amount of depth hidden - Skill system - cool amplification mechanics with the songstones and different instruments Cons: - No fast travel - Rhythm aspect is mostly irrelevant and way too easy before the late game. Even on hard mode. - Customization have little to no choices behind them. You're basically just equpping the stuff with the biggest numbers on them. - No fast travel. 2026 btw. - A few of the puzzles are genuinely ass. e.g. the Water gimmick is not proberly explained. There's also one that forces you to find a location, but you haven't been to this location yet - they clearly tried to trick you into thinking you had. - They are trying way way too hard with the references to musical theory - For some reason I cannot check moves or status effects in the combat screen - Unnecessarily complex skill leveling system that is also 90% irrelevant. Just use a simple skill point system like everyone else? - Sometimes it feels like the difficulty scaling is way off. Some stuff are way too easy, while other stuff are almost impossible. - In a game based on sound and where it's actually extremely important to have the music turned on for the full experience, some of the tracks are completely unbearable. And that's not aimed at the music itself, but the pitch in some of these are so excruciatingly high that I had to take my headset off. The Folklore forest, the ocean, classical music city. - The final song is severely underwhelming. The whole story showcases how pop can be mixed with different sub genres to create something unique. All the songs are pop inspired by one of these subgenres and feel very different from one another. Final boss fight also features one of the sickest mashups in the entire game. 5 Minutes later, they end the game with the most generic high school musical type of pop song I've ever heard. And there's no post game. - Can you just fix the fcking travel system omfg did any of you devs even bother playing it yourselves? Overall I'd say the game is definitely worth it. It's a great time and I loved playing through it. I'd get it on sale though. If the devs can't be bothered to fix glaring issues I can't be bothered to pay full prize.
Really enjoyed this one! It’s super fun with great combat mechanics and an awesome soundtrack. There are even some fun little easter eggs hidden around. A fantastic way to spend your time—highly recommend!
Para quem gosta de RPG de turno e música, esse jogo é muito envolvente!
If you are a fan of Rhythm-based games and RPGs, this might just scratch both those itches for ya! The music is wonderfully composed and the art is charming!
A great game with Wonderful music and interesting gameplay
amazing
Friend of mine made a bunch of music for this game. Lots of silly music plays on words, interesting battle system thats secretly a puzzle game, and some great QoL built in (Like random battles only happen when you push the random battle button -- letting you choose). Fundo and recommend.
The result of a major passion project come to life. Every bit of this game feels like it was made by someone who genuinely loves that old school JRPG style of game combined with their love of theatrical musical numbers. Think of lets say a FF7 esq kind of game but with random musical number. The voice acting is genuinely impressive and the singers really nail every performance. If you love music and old school rpgs this game was made for you.
I was not expecting how good this game ended up being. The combat was super fun. Incredible story! The music!!! And I'm a Millennial so friggen' loved all of the late 90s/early 2000s music references. 9/10 Play this game.
