Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is the king of frustration and farming. 4 points : difficulty, dungeons, XP, side quests. Every things else is ok - good - classic (graphics, gameplay, story, music..., it's fine). I would give it a thumbs up if not for these frustrating parts. Difficulty and XP : Started on Hard, dropped down to Easy (booh...), played with a tank, a mage, a healer and a DPS. Difficulty reduce the XP you earn and up the stats of enemies. I kill everything on sight so XP should normally not be a problem (yeah, should ...). * Normal enemies : fight back and have decent HP. Gives minimum XP so it's a f. pain in the ass to level up. Not 5 battles, more like 20+ battles for a single level ! * Bosses : the jump in difficulty is stupid. Here some gimmicks : inflated HP, boost his friends, deals fix damage no matter your defense, inflicts mute so your healer is useless / DPS is reduced to basic attacks, hit like a truck, can kill you in one turn, if you defend yourself he steal your stored actions, and the best : Counter (and it's everywhere late game) ... So you need to farm, and not once here and there, EVERY TIME. I'm used to farm sessions, but here it was too much. You enter a dungeon ? Farm. Before a boss ? Farm ... and it's f long and boring. 1hrs or more sessions. Repeat the same optional boss again and again or do 50 battles... UHHHHHHH 10 hrs played, 4 hrs farming like an idiot. You don't play anymore to discover a new enemy or to explore the dungeon, you play to farm xp only. There is no joy to play this game. Is this a Korean MMO ? My second job ? You can't even level up other jobs, you deal no damage with them and receive 30 xp at the end of the battle (out of 700-1200 or even more total XP), so you are stuck with the job the most advanced you have, going ounga bounga. Unfortunately, you need multiple jobs on multiple characters. Some bosses will ask 3 tanks and 1 healer or 2 Mages .... Do you see the problem ? Side quests : Bad, really boring, doesn't bring anything. It's FEDEX type of side quest. "can you bring me back my keys, i lost them in the wild ?" "can you go see my nephew in the other city ?" "can you beat X enemy 6 times ?" Where is the side quest with some deep lore on a PNJ or your friends ? Dungeons: Why is it a maze ? Literaly. Too many side paths. There is not even a mini map availble. Between this and straight corridors dungeons, i don't know who is the worst.... Conclusion : I'm sure this game is good and i wanted to enjoy it after seing the good review, but some decisions are truly baffling and frustrating. I don't want to play a game to farm 20 hrs, i want to enjoy my gaming session.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

bravely default, as a series, is named around its 2 main mechanics that manipulate the flow of battles and how turns are taken : default grands you extra resources and bravely expands them to affect turns. unfortunately for the team, they should've called this game Counter Counter because to balance the fact that you could somewhat easily exploit the mechanics in the previous entries, they decided that just about everything should have a counter in this game. this ranges from basic archers countering magic to bosses having 5 types of counters, and even counters that "counter all". in a nutshell, bravely default II is not unconquerable. you are given a lot of options and the multi class system is somewhat decent, even very reminiscent of older Final Fantasy titles where you can tweak jobs to your satisfaction until you break the game. unfortunately unless you are playing with a guide, you are open to being frustrated at every turn finding out what new type of counter the game is about to throw your way, and how it's absolutely going to bend the systems against you because someone somewhere thought the first two entries were too fun and that we can't have that. you have a lot of toys but you are fundamentally prevented from playing with them for a long while. and that hurts the game. go play the first game, they remastered it and it's now widely available. it has its fair shares of frustration sometimes but it's infinitely better than this.
This is an awesome game. I would've loved if it was finally the continuation I've been waiting for... "Braverly 3", but overall is wonderful 8/10. I played Bravely Default and Second on the 3DS and I'm a huge fan of them (the spiritual successors of original Final Fantasy games), and Bravely 2 does it great like those! Which is why it makes me think that the negative reviews on this come from people that actually dislike JRPGs (nothing new in this era), or people that never played the other 2 games and expect something different, so don't mind any of them at all.
An oddly comforting fairly basic JRPG. I don't think it's worth the same price as...say...Other, better and even shorter games. But on sale at a significantly reduced cost. Certainly. The game is stable, it's got a classic Turn Based Combat system with twists, but ultimately it just comes down to timing your buffs. You can indeed overly level and proceed to goomba stomp the competition. Theres Classes, a lot of them, providing unique fun ways to approach battle scenarios, you can focus on "building" a single character to turn them into an unkillable God. or stretch out gear and equipment to make your party balanced. The plot isn't anything too special. The Heroes get together to be heroes and do heroic things Heroically again. I'd really like to play a jrpg where we develop into the villain and have to beat the heroes or something similar to Overlord. Same with the music, i can scarcely even remember it. The voice acting was enjoyable if a little odd, it's not every day you get to listen to voice acted english with an accent right. That's part of what i really loved and why i continued through the game, Theres nuffin wrong wif an accent. I hope more JRPGs add some joie de vivre. TLDR: It's a nice jrpg to enjoy if you are just looking to expand your library but don't pay full price for it.
The amount of boring grinding for a turn based game is unreal.
Weakest in the series, but still a solid entry. Pick it up if you enjoyed the first game.
