Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

People of Note is fun, stylish, and corny in the way many musicals are. The RPG elements are not particularly deep, but the game still offers up some customization and player expression. The story is also serviceable. Again, it's corny, but there is an earnestness to it that I still appreciate. In addition, the world is stylish and unique. I always looked forward to visiting the next location and seeing how it would visually portray the musical genre it represented. To that end, People of Note's world and design feels coherent and developed. Most surprising to me was how creative and varied the puzzles were. People of Note manages to pack in a lot of interesting puzzle sections that feel pretty satisfying to solve.
I think this is my first time writing a review on Steam and wow! Just finished the game and what a treat! Sure, it wasn't perfect, but this was definitely a passion project from the dev team as I could feel how much love and work they put into this. As a RPG fan and a huge fan of musicals, it's like this game was made for me! It might lack polishing, and a few QoL improvements could be added there, but if you're a fan of music, I highly recommend this game! The songs during the cinematics, as well as the rest of the music, are absolutely incredible (I hope we get a release of all the battle OST one day)! Often I'd stop in the middle of combat just to appreciate how the different styles of music blended together, it was so enjoyable. The turn-by-turn RPG combat style isn't anything new but with the music twist it was really delightful and not repetitive imo. Plot was arguably predictable but honestly still so much fun to follow, I was looking forward to every new song as I made progress! And personally I found all the characters very loveable. I hope so so so much to see a sequel to this game, I can definitely see the potential threads left here and there that we could pick up? And would so love to continue this adventure with the band and experience other genres of music we didn't get to see for this one!

Me diverti MUITO.
I’ll start with a major flaw, which is the combat system. The system itself is actually quite decent, but the amount of health the enemies had really wore me down mentally, which meant I usually skipped the battles. Boss fights could also be exhausting and would trap you in a loop of healing/defence → attack, chipping away at the enemy’s health endlessly, turn after turn. Everything else was brilliant in my view; the puzzles were genuinely thought-provoking, and the characters and dialogue were very well written and performed, which meant that, unlike the combat, I had absolutely no desire to skip them. The musical side was, in my view, of a very high standard; there were even a few tracks I added to my playlist. Unlike *Stray Gods*, the music here hit the nail on the head. Huge respect for the end credits – you could really feel the same passion in them as you did whilst playing the game. Special congratulations to Annapurna – yet another gem you’ve unearthed. You’re becoming the best publisher I know.
Absolute banger!! You can tell this game was made by a really passionate team, with tons of and talent and hard work. It's not perfect, and it's pretty small-scale (get it? scale?) as far as RPGs go, but that's what I like these days anyway with my busy adult schedule. This game really ticks all my boxes -- JRPGs, turn-based combat, casual rhythm games, puzzles, puns! I liked the visual style, the background music, even the menus are well-designed. Everything is music-themed to the extreme, it really ties everything together. It is kinda kitschy at times, the songs especially were a little on the cringey side (aside from a couple songs I liked), and the plot is really basic. But overall it's just full of charm. Absolutely worth finishing all the way to the end credits.
good 8/10 game. considering it is priced at ~20 euros, it packs quite some content. music and world building were deliberately built together and are the core of the experience, especially the soundtrack was thoroughly crafted and is rich in nuances. the core gameplay is inspired by the earliest RPGs like FFIX and such, but without the grinding and more elaborated interactions. there is enough "not to get bored" and create some combos and strategies, but definitely is not the most fleshed system out there (-> if you are looking mainly for a sophisticated gameplay you will be disappointed). also the story and character itneractions/arcs suffer from the relatively short game time, the essential beats are there but they are too much out in the open because there is no time for proper character development. another thing that may be relevant for some people, is that this game is very "safe": if it were a cartoon, it could be aired in the time slot for kids between 10- 14 with no issues. this didn't bother me and I would not list as a negative, but to some players the "coziness" is a deterrent, so here it is, just know what you buy. despite these factors, the overall writing is very smart, I appreciated how they captured the quirks of the various genres and the puns were not filling gaps, they were cheesy and laid out with purpose. regardless of those three points, I didn't find bugs or poorly executed ideas, it was a very good experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a different twist to the classic (90s) RPG formula.
I absolutely love this game! The world feels alive and lived in with rich lore, beautiful environments, and creative wildlife. The characters all feel like genuine people and I got so attached to the main crew that I was actually disappointed when I reached the end of the game. I wanted more time with them! And the music! Each of the main genres is given so much love and spotlight, and on top of that every battle track has alternate remix versions that can play to buff specific band members. There's even fully animated music videos for some of the songs! Everything in Note ties back to music somehow! The combat is incredibly fun as well. You can decide turn order for your party and have any of them do whatever in any of your available spots, and that combined with being able to customize your party's abilities and being able to see what your enemies are going to do leads to some very unique battles and strategizing. I did encounter a few bugs here and there (mostly environmental pieces trapping me, odd interactions when several events happen at once in rare circumstances, stuff like that) but nothing major and nothing that impacted my enjoyment of the game at all. I cannot recommend this game enough and it's been one of the best "this looks neat, I'll give it a shot" purchases I've ever made (I loved it so much I bought it on two different platforms!). If the trailers, screenshots, anything at all about this game catch your attention or seem like something you may like, please give it a try! It's a pure joy to experience from start to finish!
