From Obsidian, this game is a historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years. Players will be responsible for conducting their own investigation to decide the fate of the community, but each decision will have lasting consequences and inexorably draws Andreas closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.

Very interesting story so far. If you love mysteries and history, this is a game I would recommend for sure. The story might be straight-forward but it feels like playing a very interesting book.
Really interest, great art direction, story is involved and has lots of different outcomes. Lots of fun.

Starts off a bit slow but overall an amazing game. Even as someone who isn't really into medieval history and religion the story and art was still engaging enough to keep me invested until the end.

Pentiment Was such a delight to get through! The art style is great to marvel at throughout the play-through, as well as the dialogue being charming, fun, and at times rousing with drama! I remember hearing of this game around its release date, but never got around to playing it, until now, when I was more open to giving a more story focused game a go. It took me 16-17 hours to get through and each hour was a blast, but maybe not for those not inclined to read for hours on end, as the gameplay entails reading, running around looking for very charming and memorable set of characters, piecing together a mystery through your findings. To me, after these many hours, will highly recommend playing this game for its story, art style, and well crafted Medieval-era setting. If you are open to a more story forward game and can do without combat as your main gameplay loop, this is a must play, as the writing is very well done and entertaining throughout!
A pure delight from start to finish. Historical murder mystery that, in trying to balance its plot-driven nature with some very expansive ideas on how history is made and remade, manages the very hard task of having its cake and eating it too. The art style is a delight right from the get go, but it belies something much more interesting that feeds into the game underneath. Killer soundtrack too, that Lingua Ignota track goes hard. Josh Sawyer & Co. nailed the ♥♥♥♥ out of this one.
