better than payday 3
Even in 2026 this game is still worth playing, it stands out compared to Payday 2 and (from what I've seen of it, since I've never played it) Payday 3 as a much more teamplay oriented and difficult game. The heist selection is small but all feel like high concept heist movies. Besides difficulties though they do lose replayability as there aren't many differences between playthroughs. All the equipment feels unique compared to one another allowing to specialize; instead of offering redundant choices the weapons, personal boosters, and team boosters allow for each member of the team to fill a role. The special enemies feel dangerous. Tasers and Cloakers can easily down lone players. Shields are difficult to deal with by yourself, encouraging teamplay (unless you have the grenade launcher). A Bulldozer can kill an entire team all by himself if you aren't careful but multiple players together can easily kill one. The people who still play this are from my experience nice or don't say anything and just play the game, though you'll likely meet the same people from day to day. The game has gone on sale for less than 4 dollars making it a cheap option that has tens of hours of gameplay.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game is lightweight, no lag almost (only if you have a bad pc then it will lag) and you can mess around with DLC's by making one heist from the DLC work and the second not, (i dont know if this applies to other games since i bought the dlc for fun just to play it) the game is hard, but once you learn tricks it should be easier, and the sales are the best making it smaller than 2 euros. Overall, should buy when theres a sale and its good.
Pretty good in 2026. Active enough to find people to play with. 9/10
me encanta
Замечательная игруха, хайстами конечно не блещет, да и пушками, но все же играется очень приятно, а иногда даже как будто лучше чем вторая часть. Однозначно рекомендую попробовать эту игру
eu gosto de apologia ao crime massa
Что я хочу сказать.Игра сырая,графика плохая,мало ограблений, непонятный интерфейс.Кому как,но я считаю,что PayDay 2 лучше этой части.
I remember the simpler times when I had to beg my friends to put down Call of Duty for just an hour to try something new. Payday: The Heist was one of those games. Back then, PlayStation didn’t really have any 4-player co-op titles that could compete with the likes of Left 4 Dead or the now-forgotten Killing Floor on Xbox and PC. Admittedly, the game feels a bit dated compared to the newer entries in the franchise. The AI is lagging behind, the graphics haven't aged particularly well, and the gameplay loop isn't quite as tight as I remembered. Yet, despite its age, the game still has that specific "sparkle" that can turn a normal afternoon into one of the best gaming sessions you've ever had—especially if you snag it at a discount. If you’re new to the franchise, I’d honestly recommend starting with Payday 2: Infamous Collection. I only suggest picking up this original title if you have a dedicated group of friends to play with (public lobbies are quiet these days) or if you're a completionist interested in the roots of a legendary series. One final warning: the achievements are an absolute nightmare to tackle alone. Don’t put yourself through that pain without a crew!
