About
Establish the greatest regime in history in this darkly satirical colony sim and FPS roguelite hybrid. Build a prosperous totalitarian state, enforce policies, and lead your troops into first-person battles that grow from desperate skirmishes into large-scale mechanized war.
Dictate wisely. Every choice shapes society, for better or worse.
Mold your citizens through fear, propaganda, surveillance, punishment or rule as a benevolent leader through comfort and prosperity.
While they work for the State, they may grow grateful, afraid, loyal, or quietly rebellious, until dissent becomes revolt.
Venture into the fractured territories of the Tyris System to gather resources, conscript new citizens, trade with wandering merchants, and feed the growth of your colony.
Fight beside your troops in roguelite FPS battles, from hostile ships to large-scale mechanized battlefields of infantry, tanks, and mechs, spreading your doctrine and eliminating threats to humanity.
Weakened foes can be captured and dragged back to your base.
Behind prison doors, resistance can be crushed through fear, indoctrination, execution, or conversion, until an enemy becomes a citizen, a warning to would-be rebels, or another tool of the regime.
Elite enemies, bosses, and Sector Overlords flood the battlefield with bullets, lasers, missiles, drones, artillery, and overlapping projectile patterns.
This is war at scale, but you are not alone. Order your troops to secure victory, or use them as expendable shields to achieve your ends.

Turn a handful of survivors into a vast, tightly run, self-sustaining colony.
Assign citizens to mine, gather, haul, research, and manufacture weapons, armor, food, and supplies. Watch fragile shelters become the machinery of the State.
Collect roguelite cores during each expedition to grow stronger, survive longer, and push deeper into enemy territory.
Weapon Cores reshape how your guns handle. Combination Cores create synergies between different core sets. Others strengthen the troops fighting beside you, or turn them into sacrificial shields for your survival.
Each run becomes a shifting war machine built around you, your squad, and the chaos you unleash together.

Pax Autocratica is a totalitarian colony sim and FPS roguelite hybrid that combines base building, citizen management, and first-person chaotic battlefields filled with infantry, vehicles and bullet hell. It offers a dynamic, accessible, and approachable gameplay experience for all in a sci-fi dystopian world.
It’s a game about power. How it’s built, how it corrupts, and how it consumes.
You will command armies, dictate laws, and witness consequences in every face that salutes you or fears you.

"Refined" AI assets that are still entirely uneven, feature broken symmetry, and shift color mid icon. I hate to cry wolf but if you're going to "refine" something like that I should *never* be able to tell it was AI in the first place. Additionally, you have to dig through dev logs to even find an admission of AI use in the first place. Beyond the egregious AI slop. There are the bones of what could become an OK game here. The base literally has no reason to exist other than aesthetics from what I can tell. You go back, sit there for a minute. Maybe upgrade something, or build a single building. Then it's back to the expeditions which could literally be the entire game. You get most of the key resources from them, all progression is locked behind them because of this. That isn't a problem but it should be closer to an even experience, not (in my experience) 90% Expedition and 10% colony sim. Hopefully Multiverse can get some real meaningful progress done for this game and make it special. Hopefully.

Amazing combination of ideas that are so well executed! Scratches my arena shooter, rng exploration and management itches. The second zone is getting hard Spaceship Troopers vibes with the overwhelming bugs. My Red Rising saga fandom sees some glimpes of the lore in that game. Maybe playing the Society side. Don't be surprised to find yours truly unique references in it! Runs on a potato - 1080p 60fps, everything on max. Can't wait to play it on my new pc soon!
You should disclose when you use ai images in your game even if you "are hiring real artists"
Finished with all the content here so far as of August 2026. Yes, it's a capable hybrid game with a really satisfying gameplay loop. BUT: The base building/management section is a lot simpler than advertised. It also misses the tone for me when it comes to "autocratic leadership". You are not in fact the supreme leader, just a "governor" of sorts. The dictatorial theme seems kinda hamfisted and does not allow for actual moral dilemmas. Morale, loyalty and even fear are generated easily and I'm not even sure if low moral does anything disruptive. There are of course bugs in this game, such as worker not always working when you are away on missions. Automation is not really functioning right now since you often have to deliver good manually. Interactions with soldiers is minimal and there is a HUGE disconnect between the AI generated soldier portraits (which look alright) and the 3D model you see stomping around your base. Some balancing issues as well. The combat sections are fun. At first ever mission is super hard when you enter a new sector and you are stuck grinding for materials for a while. Then you are super overpowered quickly and kinda just clear the entire sector with all 3 battles easily. If you want to auto-win, just get the rocket upgrade and then the red upgrade that lets you shoot one rocket per bullet hit. Equip a rapid fire weapon and voila, you are now the god of war capable of clearing the sector no matter the difficulty. Other upgrades seem rather worthless, some are fun like the ability that lets you spawn zerglings when you kill an enemy. Oh yeah, the enemies are: Borderlands mercenaries, the Zerg, the Protoss, robots that remind me too much of the T'au, and some enemies you've seen in the UFO defense games like the Muton. Not very creative, but it works. Really fun combat, acceptable base management section, ehhhh kind of tone and story. It's a good game.
★★★★★ Absolut begeistert!
Does it feel like a China asset flip well because it is. One of the better ones ill give them that maybe a 6/10 or so. Deceptive marketing most maps are tiny not the big battles. The AI is anything but intelligent they just lumber around into each other like mindless fish. I wouldn't be giving them so much sh!t if the trailer matched the game. Building is alright very boring very fast same few maps over and over, bullet sponge enemies border lands but worse.
This game turned me into space Hitler with a hard-on for efficiency and I am not okay. I started this game today and im already deciding if little timmy gets an extra ration of nutrient paste or gets blended into the loyalty smoothie for the morning announcements. This game is as if RimWorld, Helldivers 2 and a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥-up episode of The Office had a three-way in a propaganda bunker where the baby came out holding a clipboard, a plasma rifle, and a list of people who didn’t clap loud enough at the last parade. But this time im not yelling FOR DEMOCRACY im just screaming FOR THE FATHER instead. So far in the 12hrs ive played, ive managed to sacrifice an entire work shift of dissenters just so my favourite soldier could get a 3% accuracy buff (didn’t even feel bad) I then executed the ringleaders in the city square by making them recite the state anthem (grinder was too easy way out) an after went to solo a boss with the survivors cheering me on like I just scored the winning touchdown. At one point my colony ran out of food so I declared that hunger was now illegal. Problem solved. Everyone was suddenly “full of revolutionary spirit.” One guy tried to eat a rock (I promoted him) The game looks you dead in the eye, winks, and goes “yeah, this is satire… now go execute that guy for having a slightly sad face during the mandatory joy rally, daddy.” 10/10 would recommend this game its pretty entertaining purging the weak, feeding the strong and forcing the survivors to high-five a statue of me again. All hail the State. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a curfew to enforce, some rebels to convert at gunpoint and a new law that makes blinking without permission a capital offense.
As the kids say, "You do too much". There are so many systems here (base building, roguelite FPS, RTS, etc) and none of them work very well. Combat and enemy/friendly AI is mediocre; base building, resource management and crafting are bare-bones; and aesthetics, world building, and RNG characters are just a generic mashup of The Sims with Starship Troopers or Helldivers (both of which pale in comparison to something like Warhammer 40K themselves). This is a perfect example of why most game developers pick a lane and stay in it. Maybe if this gets the level of support something like No Man's Sky received I can see the game being really good, but in it's Early Access state it tries to be everything and ends up being nothing. I know the devs are very active here and that is amazing! However, my honest feedback is that this needs either a AAA level studio and money, or a lot more time in the oven.
2.6 hours played I bought Pax Autocratica expecting to build a nice little colony. Instead, within two hours I was running a dictatorship, reorganising production lines, driving heavily armed vehicles into combat, dodging approximately 47,000 bullets, and wondering why my carefully planned economy had collapsed while I was away committing aggressive diplomacy. Every time I think I understand the game, it introduces another system. “Okay, colony is stable.” No it isn’t. “Okay, resources are sorted.” No they’re not. “Okay, I’ll just go fight for five minutes.” Returns home. WHY IS EVERYTHING ON FIRE? The best part is that the game somehow makes all of this chaos feel completely normal. One minute I'm micromanaging workers, the next I'm personally driving into a battlefield like the CEO has finally had enough of middle management. Only 2.6 hours in and I've already learned the most important lesson: A functioning economy is temporary. A heavily armed vehicle is forever. 10/10 came to manage a colony, accidentally became Space Stalin with a driving licence.
The Core GamePlay Loop is Very Well Crafted. "Engineered" even. For me, the most important thing in a game like this is "Replayability" and they've nailed it from the outset. The difficulty is tunable between missions, so you can find a comfortable footing, learn the mechanics, and grind out the gear unlocks on easy (if you are inclined) so you can bring that gear to higher difficulties for more resources per run. Or you can enjoy lots of power fantasy easy mode runs. Depending on the experience you want. For that reason, if you enjoy games like this, but you are weary of the themes and motifs, fret not, its all in fun, its all in play. If you cant play with dangerous themes, then this is not for you. But, if you like Satisfactory / Rogue Core / Rim World, this game blends them all swimmingly. I put 40 hours into the demo ahead of EA Launch. Thats a full work week. I ground out every unlock i could, because i wanted to see how far the demo went. There was more to unlock than i could manage before launch. Thankfully, my save carried forward, which is super important for games like this. That tells me that this is a passion project from the devs. If you are on the fence, dont be, come on in, the water is chill and the vibes are peak. I cant wait to see what they bring through EA.
