About
Your path will lead you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have fought fearlessly, trying to drive the enemy back — but to little avail.
Now, you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel, backed by noble paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else entirely? Lead your army and challenge mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will leave you — and the world itself — forever changed.
Create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness, and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset. Choose from 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats, and abilities to suit your personal playstyle.
Your decisions have more weight than ever before. Your goal is clear, but you must forge your own path to it. Who will die, and who will live? Who will stay, and who will go? Make your choices, and watch the world around you change.
Enjoy two combat modes as you slay your enemies – real-time with pause or turn-based. Switch between them on the fly, so you can always take things as slowly — or as quickly — as you like. The unique Pathfinder ruleset also allows you to perform advanced combat maneuvers, like mounted combat. Use them wisely!
A cast of more than 10 unique companions is ready to join your cause. Earn their trust and respect, and they will have your back no matter what dangers lie ahead. And if you get on their bad side, well… Maybe it’s time to part ways.
You will need much more than a party of adventurers to cleanse the land of its demonic scourge. Take command of the crusaders and lead them to victory – both as a strategist, controlling the battle from above, and as a field commander, in a new tactical combat mode.
Explore nine unique Mythic Paths: obtain extraordinary abilities and shape everything that comes next. Your decisions might transform you into a celestial Angel, a raging Demon, a powerful Lich, a cunning Trickster, an otherworldly Aeon, a rebellious Azata, a wise Gold Dragon, an insatiable Swarm That Walks — or remain mortal and walk the arduous fantasy path toward becoming a living Legend.

Act 4 is complete garbage design wise and pacing wise. It's bloated and crappy mechanics. I hated it so much that I think I am just done with the game. I don't even want to try and progress anymore because of how dreadful this act is. Owlcat did NOT cook with this hopefully they learn with their next pf game if that ever happens cause apparently Warhammer was higher on the priority list
didn't see the option to tell shae "I can handle a demon". Shame
Amazing game, I think the character creation screen has a terrific number of classes, subclasses and options. That alone makes me feel like this game worth buying, specially if you like RPGs in general (and if you are a game master of TTRPGs? You'll definitely be glad to buy it and check it out from the game UI, even if you don't play the game). With that being said, playing this game is not as intuitive sometimes, because 1: Pre-buffing before a fight is 100% the META for tough fights... and as a TTRPG game master myself, I don't like the idea of such pre buff spells being that decisive, even if DnD 3.5 is awesome as hell. 2: Often when you level up, you are thrown into many options filled with some sneaky traps, this is a relevant point to me because, unlike a TTRPG where the game master can find ways to tweak the difficulty and monsters to make weaker characters shine, here the game system is absolute, so you need to have a good sense of objectivity in mind and maybe even study beforehand what traits and attributes you'll be picking for each character level. For example, it may be the case that taking an ability for 100% accuracy shot for your archer character is not optimal at all if your character class is more focused on multi attacking than single shot! 2.5: Not only that, but you need to understand if you'll want to go for purely mathematical optimal choices (which can be tiring to capitalize on) or simply good choices that gives you better quality of life (QoL) and ease of play. For example, you can get an amazing Hex ability to one of your starting characters, but that Hex is only that amazing if you play the game more defensively rather than rushing the enemy. Meanwhile, if you play the game with human instincts, looking to kill enemies fast when you smell blood, you would have been much better off taking a Hex that improves armor class (that can be combo-ed with a ring that further increases armor class if that hex was taken) rather than the mathematically best choice. So keep that in mind when leveling up, (and also, I think most players will lean into taking the strong Outflank feat which is just as intuitive as it is optimal). 3: Despite the multitude of options, if you play the main campaign you'll definitely benefit more if your main character has good Strength for better hoarding (as loot weight is a strong factor), and Persuasion as one of their skills (as there will be many persuasion rolls that can only be taken by your main character in the story).
