Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 10 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game has everything that classic Rollercoaster Tycoon was doing good and fixed thing it was doing bad. Building coaster and decorations is very easy and pleasant. You can easly make your parks beutiful and good performing.
No Undo button? Unforgivable here. Might as well remove the block button on fighter games, or forget to add in guns in a shooter game.

If you like Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 this game is a worthy and welcome successor. This game maintains the simplicity of those older RCT games without over complicating the building process like some other theme park games have done. The additions this game brings to the community have also been quite fun. I would say there are little things for me that i wish this game included such as certain types of coasters and flat rides but i also haven't gone through all the mods yet to see if they exist. Really no major complaints just a good fun game that brings me the same magic and joy that I experienced playing games like this as a child.
This is a fantastic theme park tycoon type game. The interface is a joy to use compared to most, and the campaign is incredibly fun and replayable. There is plenty of depth here, but not too much that you will get frustrated and annoyed. Nothing gets tedious, it just remains fun. The challenge comes with trying to sell x amount of tickets by a certain date while maintaining the overall quality of the park. These are obtainable once you figure out how many decorations to put around the park and rides, and then adjusting the default costs for rides and concessions. The default prices are VERY low, and you can charge 2-3 times more if your park is looking nice. Using blueprints is a great way to build the larger roller coasters. The only complaints I really have is the roller coaster designer: It's really not intuitive at all, having some pre-designed sections you can snap together would have been better than trying to build each rail section by itself. Also, building paths up and down is also not intuitive, either. I feel like the game should know what you're trying to do - other games have done this. It doesn't make sense why it just cant do A to B paths at different levels and figure it out for you. Outside of that, this game is just great. It looks really good and can play on most gaming PCs in 2026. Thumbs up! PS. Don't sleep on the mods, they have ones where you can ride everything etc.
Parkitect is my nostalgia trip back to Theme Park, a very cool balance of customization and very solid park management (economy, satisfaction etc). There is nothing much to criticize about it, it's well made enough all around to give you a couple 100h of enjoyment if you like theme park builders. Visuals are really sweet, just that tilt shift effect sells all the cuteness of the cool ride designs, animations and sounds. The only thing you need to be aware is that, the game being a bit old, the game becomes very intensive with huge parks ( above 3000+ pop ), which you will only reach after dozens of hours... so it's not like it's a big deal, and you can choose to make smaller condensed parks if you have a smaller rig. One last thing, we played the game a while back, and then we redo a coop park this year. And this winter, with the release of the DLC, we notice a systematic desync issue with a friend who is on the GoG version. We sent an email to Texel Raptor with the report, 12h later we receive an answer with a patch both published on GoG and Steam... during the (probable) Christmas break. I've never seen such a dedicated support on a 7yo game, kudos to the team and thank you for the great game... be sure to take care of yourselves and enjoy your vacations!
WORTH THE LEARNING CURVE I see a fair number of negative reviews where people were initially frustrated by the controls and gave up even though they liked the nature of the game. They're not entirely wrong, the controls aren't fully intuitive and easy to overthink. At the start, stairs and structures higher than a story can be confusing and frustrating, but once it clicks, you can build anything you want. Literally anything. I love this game as a sandbox builder. The rollercoasters just make it better. There are also a lot of negative reviews looking for the undo button. When youre placing decorations, you can delete any mistakes with a right mouse click. That's the undo button. Has active mod and workshop communities, devs have stayed involved, and it can run on a toaster. 5/5
Its roller coaster tycoon with more building options. The scenery building is delightful. It was my favorite part of roller coaster tycoon and this game makes it a core part of the "immersion" the guests feel. So you get rewarded for going nuts with the scenery and paying attention to detail.
As great as this game is, I have to give it a thumbs down for several reasons: 1. No undo button (that I could find). This is egregious in a builder game. 2. No first person view while riding on the rides. 3. With a few exceptions, you are confined to working with squares. Even the Q/E keys to rotate your view only operate at 90 degree turns. 4. Convoluted build interface takes some getting use to. 5. Poor to nonexistent explanations of how decorations affect things. 6. Inability to move rides or objects. They must be deleted and recreated. Devs claim this is more realistic, but I really can't remember the last time I had to destroy a park bench, just to rebuild it elsewhere.
i would love to love this game, unfortunately i am constantly at war with the control scheme (since i am unable to rebind certain actions), the horrible camera, and seemingly random bugs or quirks that make it outright annoying to play the game. today, the game decided that when i finish placing something, i should not actually stop placing things and clearly i want to spam a dozen of the same flat ride or path. then it decided that i was out of money after placing a dozen paths and one flat ride despite starting with 22,000 in the bank. at this point i give up. i'll play planet coaster or openRCT2 instead.
🎮Parkitect provides gameplay that closely matches the experience of playing RollerCoaster Tycoon games. The premise remains unchanged because our mission requires us to operate an amusement park through designing and constructing attractions which will bring in visitors while we maintain their happiness and handle basic operational tasks like recruiting staff members. The campaign mode serves as the main gameplay experience, because it contains twenty-six different scenarios. The scenarios require players to complete various challenges which all involve establishing a business. We will experience different weather conditions and ,ultiple types of terrain and various thematic elements which include Western and traditional fantasy enviroments. The initial scenario of the game requires us to construct a park on land that was formerly used as an airport. The guidelines require us to complete the work within one to two years. 👍Strengths. - Control systems that users can learn to operate without difficulty. - Complete simulation functions to explore. - Insane amount of freedom and customization options for your park - The game provides a free play mode which allows us to choose our own way to play the game. - Workshop integration which enables us to access mods through simplified processes. - Simply fantastic blueprinting system that allows saving fully formed designs right down to the paths and scenery where the coaster would go. 👎Weaknesses. - Campaign activities do not engage interest. - The attraction provides only standard amusement park rides which include both calm and thrilling experiences. - You can't ride your coasters from a guest's perspective - Facility contains no swimming pools and only provides a limited number of water attractions. 🏁Summary. Parkitect provides greater control over its elements than I initially anticipated. The majority of modern simulation games operate as advanced park construction tools that lack any real simulation features. I found it surprising when I discovered I could determine park entry fees and ride costs. The system allowed me to change both the products available in each store and manipulate their respective prices. I could choose any available marketing campaigns to bring guests to my business because I had full control over selecting which research to conduct and determining its funding. Certainly a spiritual successor that lives up to the standard left by Rollercoaster Tycoon. 🎯6/10
