Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

面白いです!
The best thing about this game was the storytelling and the mystery. The storytelling it was amazing because of the pure real life feeling. Like the scenery and sound it was all so thrilling. And for the mystery it was so exiciting every time we progress the game always reveal something mind blowing. Another good thing about this game it only focuses on the story. So you don't have to grind like simulations game or find missing items, nothing like that so it's great. Although it was fun you would have to understand a lot of things. What I meant is that you had to read a long ass paragraf about some history of Japan to understand. So WARNING if you don't like reading or have low attention span you are not going to have a good time. Because well you gotta read. But other than that your gonna enjoy the game. And for the people that are hesitating to buy this game because it's label as horror. Don't worry as I myself am a scaredy cat it wasn't that bad. LIke only the first 10 minutes of the game where I lowkey felt my life was in danger. The rest of the game wasn't scary at all, more to thriling. So yeah if you are not a fan of horror it's okay because it's only like the first ten minutes where it was scary. So my final thougths it was fudging great. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. The ending was quite uhhhhh, well not the happiest ending as I imagined. But just give it a try you could always refund if you don't like it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you were given a chance to bring someone back from the dead... would you do it?
And more importantly: Is it a good visual novel? So, I am not a big fan of VNs in general, though I have played a couple of them. In my humble opinion, which can probably be destroyed by VN fans out there, the visual novel is a very limited format for telling a story. Essentially, it is just a bunch of images, a lot of text, and potentially some music to set the mood. A slightly interactive way to present comics. Or manga, since we are talking about Japanese art here. So, the story being told matters, and so does the art style. Not very different from a regular manga, just wrapped in a digital format? But that's the catch. I think that visual novels, as a "text + art" formula, can feel too cramped as games. I mean, games allow stories to be interactive, not just by making choices, let's pretend those matter, but by expanding the tools used to convey the story. At this point, I'm not sure anyone is reading this, but let me continue. As a non-fan of VNs, what would I consider a good VN? One that pushes the boundaries of being just "text + art", goes outside this tiny box that was limited to ink and paper, and does something else. Something creative, something that makes you feel that you are, like, actually playing a game. That's where PARANORMASIGHT comes into the picture. The story is dense with events. There are a lot of things happening simultaneously at different paces and in different places, so if it were a manga, it would be very troublesome to read, just figuring out the timelines alone. PARANORMASIGHT, or should I say The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, since there is a sequel available out there, does a great job of keeping the intertwined story as simple as possible. The Story Chart is a great feature, and it meets my expectations for why this should be considered a game. Then, there are a bunch of puzzles that make you think outside the box. Those puzzles are... weird, if you describe them without spoilers, but when you finally get the solution, you will be in awe because of how strangely satisfying it was to solve them. But here lies problem #1: the start of the game, or the first couple of hours, or the prologue, is filled with high-paced turns of events, puzzles, interactive segments, choices, consequences, ideas, and approaches. At the same time, it was just the beginning, a tutorial! And then... the pacing becomes uneven later. Not "off" in a strange sense, but more like the engine driving the vehicle of the story simply slowed down. Okay, let me joke a bit here, so it is less boring. > The Seven Mysteries of Honjo > Looks inside > There are Nine Mysteries The rest of the game after the prologue feels just too slow, less interactive, and leaves you a bit disappointed, because the first hours gave you such high expectations. Yes, the story is good, and it was actually good enough for me not only to continue it and get all of the achievements, but also to purchase the sequel and become interested in another mystery. So, if you are still reading this, yes, I would recommend this game. But don't you already know that just by seeing that it has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews? Anyway, if you have nothing to do, let me continue. The biggest problem of this game for me, as a non-Japanese person, is the fact that this game is Japanese. Well, what I mean is that the characters have Japanese names, the places have Japanese names, and the mysteries themselves are also Japanese. On top of that, one of the most fun parts of the game is that you act a bit like a detective. You need to come to the right conclusions from time to time and answer some questions. Also, the plot twists sometimes tell you things like, "Oh, so it was Character X who did it all the time!" Combine that with my rant about the game being "Japanese", and that's exactly what I didn't like. You get a question, and you are like, "Huh? What? Well, what was the name of the place they want me to mention? Let me check the files..." You get a plot twist, and your reaction is, "Who? What? Wait a bit, what are they mumbling about? Let me check the profile picture to understand who they are talking about... oooooh... I see..." It kills the mood. Silly complaint, but man, it's really hard to remember all of the Japanese names. Especially when there is so much going on and those names are important. Despite these two subjective problems, this is still a good game. The ending is somewhat predictable in the sense that the unpredictable plot twist was placed in a very suspicious spot, one that I had already marked during my first playthrough. But the story is good, and it ended the way it should, leaving a pleasant feeling of completion. Not in a deep philosophical way, but as a strong entertaining story. And I liked it, yeah.
