About
Papa is a short psychological horror game set in 1991, deep in an isolated forest home.
Years after escaping your childhood home with your sister, you receive news that your father has become seriously ill. Your sister is unable to face the past and refuses to return, but you decide to visit him one last time.
At first, everything seems normal. But the longer you stay in the house, the stranger it begins to feel. Old memories start to return, and it becomes harder to tell what is real and what is not.
Explore the decaying house, uncover the truth about your family's past, and face the memories that were left behind.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to keep a family together. The danger begins when the need for control becomes stronger than the ability to let go.

The game is very poorly optimized, and it also has a bug, at least in my case. When the lights go out before you have to solve the puzzle to activate the fuse box, you can't see absolutely anything — the screen goes completely black, making it impossible to do anything. I wasted an hour thinking this was how the game was supposed to work until I watched some gameplay videos and realized it was actually a bug, because in the streams I watched there was at least some visible lighting.

Gutes Spiel. in manchen Situationen fehlte mir aber der rote Faden. 9 / 10
An excellent horror game! With a very deep message
OKAY! Why can't I give a "maybe" instead of a yes or a no to recommend this game? Sheesh! I like this game. Let's start with that. However! I was literally left in the dark, while I had a friggin' lighter! I couldn't use it, though! The game wouldn't let me. The electricity went out and I was literally walking around in the dark, certainly running into furniture, walls and other things. I'm already clumsy irl! I don't need to wander around in the dark in a game, too! I bet I stepped on a cat's tail in the game and didn't even know! I'm gonna give this game another try, because I think the game just glitched on the part where the lights went out, because I have seen other players play with a lighter! I don't know why I pressed every single button on my keyboard and it's probably just a glitch...or the character is much like me -- leave it to ME to lose my only light source! (insert eye roll here). So... MAYBE!
way too dark to even see anything 5 mins into the game.. no option to turn up brightness either.
Honestly, I really enjoyed it. Graphics and environment are excellent. Really strong environmental storytelling. It’s a solid narrative and made me call my dad. Enjoy. I Came Home to See My Dad...I Shouldn't Have https://youtu.be/bBepfsM4zCc
