Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In a solar system cut-off from a ravaged Earth, you play as a scavenger trying to make a living in the dredges of space. Wage-slave scrapper life isn’t enough anymore, and at last you’ve pulled together the funds (plus a hefty loan) to have a go at independence.
Based in the same universe as Blue Bottle Game’s last hit NEO Scavenger, learn to manage your dysfunctional crew and ship as you fend off bankruptcy...or worse.
Every choice you make will affect the outcome of the game. In character creation, you’ll use a Career Kiosk to shape your character’s background, income, and qualifications. Use it to customise your traits and skillset, which will be essential when managing your ship, its crew, and anyone sticking their noses in your business. You’ll start out the game with enemies, ex-lovers, and acquaintances to seek out… or avoid. Just remember your early decisions will affect your options and outcomes in conversations down the line.
Build your dream ship from the ground up, using detailed, functional parts. Scavenge “pre-loved” parts in the boneyard to upgrade your ship - finding old or rare parts in the system is much cheaper than tracking down the original manufacturer. Who has time to scour the solar system? Hook up subsystems, add extra power and fuel, and be sure to replace parts which have worn out during your adventures. Parts are essential to your experience and will change how your ship feels to fly.
“I cannot change the laws of physics, Captain!” In Ostranauts you will be piloting a ship under the laws of Newtonian flight, learning to fly using in-world manuals and sheets. It will be your job to manipulate control panels, flip switches, and to resist the urge to press the big shiny red button… Every craft has a different flight feel based on thrusters, hull mass, and how you’ve customised the ship. Remember to use a light touch whilst docking, and try not find yourself in the outer rim with an empty fuel gauge.
Even in the darkest corners of space, you are not alone. Each character you encounter runs an AI that is constantly making choices based on their current needs and past experiences. They have physiological and emotional needs, ranging from basic wants like food, oxygen and water all the way up to deeper needs like intimacy and security. As captain, keep an eye out at the space port, scout out a crew and build those relationships. Your background will shape out how you are able to interact with other characters and if they will join your ship - have you developed a silver tongue or does fear rule your ship?
Based in the same universe as NEO Scavenger, Ostranauts will be rich with lore for those who wish to explore. After the collapse of civilization on Earth, colonies and factions formed - colonising other planets, moons and asteroids - with only those able to adapt to the harshness of space able to survive. As states and corporations spread their reach through the System, whispers of unexplained phenomena are creeping through back channels.
Blue Bottle Games encourages players to join the Discord, share modding ideas, and to help grow the world of Ostranauts. Modders who want to make their experience more unique are able to edit a wide variety of game data - most of the game's data is in plain-text files for easy access. If you have an inquiry, send us a message in either the Blue Bottle or Kitfox Discord.

With how addicting the simulation (and the potential it motivates you with) is, it's a disappointment in the execution. Pathfinding errors between two ships forcing the player to babysit huge workloads instead of the creative design game I would rather play. Walk commands that fail instead of picking a nearest location. Needing to look for your characters shoes because autotask (which isn't even on) ripped through some inventories on an EVA warpath. Triple beep error sound that has lost all its meaning by being played just because the game is paused when a valid walk command is issued. The massive performance hiccups that are so regular it suggests a complete lack of hardware sympathy. Installs that wont pass because something loose is in the designated walkway tile, even though loose items don't block walkways. Constantly fighting with popup inventories that clearly respect no god. A Quick Action Bar that impressively adds more hurdle in your way by being designed like a wack-a-mole game. A proximity alarm that wont stay muted even if you rip out the alarm module on the Nav Station you're linked to. Have your Nav Station backwards and your ship will flip around when you undock, but not from OKLG. Tool-tip names and portraits showing the wrong person in your crew even after they're no longer with you. The list goes on and on. Is this whole simulation just taped together with shortcuts? This game takes _way_ too much time to play for lacking so much QoL on release. The experience you give the player _is_ the whole game. You need more discipline in programming the invariants of your fundamental systems. You need a more critical eye for interaction and readability. I _want_ deep systems. I don't want to work so hard to experience them. I don't want to learn a thousand different workarounds just to play a game. I want to recommend this game but I can't recommend the experience I've had with it so far.

底辺のゴミ漁りでしたが海賊をタコ殴りにしてEVAスーツを奪ってから快適になりました。 みんなも海賊をタコ殴りにしてPDAとスーツを盗もう。
1.0 coming next month and NPC AI update was just released. I should probably say "finally!" but what I'm thinking is "too late for me". this game is definitely special and worth checking out. I just can't forget it's out for like 6 years now and for all that time, my NPC's were biggest AI idiots I had displeasure to meet. I grew so tired of watching them (for like 3 weeks worth of time), I'm not able to play this game anymore. I had mild PTSD-like feeling after reading the changelog instead of being euphoric. curious. Obviously, AI quality is my biggest gripe. Additionally, I felt disappointed because of constant stuttering and save game implementation. "but, but, EA!" well, 5+ years is not really early access to me anymore. but, good news, all those cons most likely not an issue today. I also suspect stations to receive much love in the final release. so, yeah, lucky those who will try it out in August for the first time. Nevertheless, (and acknowledging I might sound like an entitled little b*ch) I recommend checking this game out. I like the idea very much, I just wish more experienced and bigger studio developed it.
The idea is amazing. Control and gameplay atrocious. User interface is lored, themed and also atrocious. Ship status is just text report, building ships pieces from memory, and mostly trial and error. Again, amazing idea, but I bought this whitout watching a gameplay, thats the reason, its my problem, I wouldnt buy it otherwise. I will not return, just and advice, check gameplay video before buy.
you need to be autistic to enjoy this game. runs well on linux with experimental proton. really janky feeling when playing, i cant explain it but the combination of most of the text being unreadable and the switches and buttons feeling unresponsive is annoying.
I love this game. Didn't play it till the 1.0 Launch but this is going to be something in my library i go back to forever like DF or Rimworld.
This game laser targeted me. I loved NEO Scavenger, so when I saw the logo for this and confirmed it was the same developer, I wishlisted it immediately, and patiently waited for 1.0. The controls are a little clunky at first, but you get used to them quickly if you’ve played games like NEO scavenger and Project Zomboid. Character creation is super fun, though there could stand to be more events. The game runs great on both Steam Deck and Steam Machine, and it even runs well in Crossover for Mac (though it fails to save, so not really playable). I can’t stop thinking about this while I’m not playing it. Just need to salvage one more ship, it might be a big one…
contains they/them nonsense refunded
I loved Neo Scavenger, but this is just too much. Character creation is awesome. I love the Traveller style way you build your character. But then you start playing the game. The walking around parts are fine, but the stuff dealing with controlling the ship is wildly frustrating.
