The gameplay is super chill: read, scroll to find info, and drag-and-drop it into the database. But the funniest (and most wicked) part of the game lies in context. You work under a boss named Symes. The catch is that this boss is completely clueless about the raw data you're reading; he only sees what you choose to report. Not to mention the game's interface makes you look like a cool Hollywood hacker saving the world, even though you're just browsing the internet and reading comments. But after all, if you don't like reading text logs, chat transcripts, and fictional articles, the gameplay loop can feel like doing administrative homework. 8/10. Orwell is a masterpiece of atmospheric storytelling. It takes the cold, sterile concept of mass surveillance and transforms it into a deeply personal issue, forcing you to question the ethics of how the duality of things can be distorted.
