About
Orbosis Gloriosis is an incremental arcade game built around physics and upgrade management.
The core loop is straightforward: deal damage to orbs until they crack and shatter into smaller ones to harvest their energy. You can also gather earnings from Orbs merging back together.
Purchasing an upgrade unlocks its adjacent nodes, letting you chart your own path through the tree. You can focus your build on raw damage, increase your auto-attack frequency, boost your critical hit rate, or spec into chain reactions that cause lightning to jump between targets.
The damage numbers and upgrade costs scale higher and higher, creating synergies that add to the satisfying and pleasing-to-the-eye mechanics of the game.

Reviews
A great incremental game to add to the collection/backlog. If you've been recommended the game, it's time to pick it up.
The visual scaling is brilliant, successfully consolidating everything down to a giant white object surrounded by tiny shards. It provides the suspenseful experience, giving you hours of quality time to sit and contemplate your life choices while waiting for those last few stubborn pieces to merge. It is the kind of breakthrough progression design that keeps you glued to your screen for hours, trying absolutely everything to force a victory. My GPU is chilled out at 24% utilization, basically on vacation, while my CPU was screaming at 127% capacity, trying to calculate the trajectory of a million colorful spheres. It has successfully transformed my handheld device into a highly efficient space heater. 10/10, would thermal throttle again.

Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Orbosis Gloriosis: This is an absolutely mesmerizing gaming experience! Physics of the orbs splitting and merging is fantastic, smooth and elegant, and oh so satisfying! A simple concept, but really well implemented. + First things first, this a really, really, really satisfying visual experience. Especially in the late game when you are constantly alternating between splitting and merging for maximum efficiency. + Ambient soundtrack and SFX are pretty good too. + There are only 8 different upgrades (one for each statistic), but it somehow fits the simple concept and allows you to chase the specific upgrades you want more easily. + There is an end to the game, which is great: merging all orbs into an unsplittable last level orb. + I love that there are sort of two ways to play the game. At first, you don't have much time and split the orbs, hoping for mutations into the next orb level/color. The better mutated orbs are often so small that you have to chase and aim them by moving around the pack of orbs in order to get their giga rewards. In the late game, the experience is unbelievably satisfying: you have more time and alternate between splitting and merging in order to get the reasonably sized mutated orbs and not a ton of very small ones. - My only gripe is that you get access to a second skill tree mid-game (after completing the first), and the first upgrades are only round duration ones, with no tell that there are actually two other types of upgrades (damage multiplier and damage frequency) in the tree. I was about to give up because I thought that the game would be unwinnable even with all the time in the world. Thankfully, I discovered a damage multiplier upgrade, and it restored my faith to know that I would continue to get stronger. I'd suggest a fix by placing one of the damage upgrades very early on in the second tree. ***Why did the orb decide to break up with its partner? It needed its own space, so it decided to split.*** Found this review helpful?
