A Celebration of One Piece's Most Spectacular Battles
As someone who completed the game, I can confidently say that ONE PIECE: PIRATE WARRIORS 4 delivers exactly what it promises: pure, chaotic, and incredibly satisfying action set in the world of One Piece. It doesn't try to reinvent the Musou formula, but rather adapts it to the series in a way that feels natural, faithful, and above all, fun. From the very beginning, the game embraces the over-the-top nature of One Piece. Massive battlefields filled with enemies, exaggerated special attacks, and larger-than-life characters perfectly capture the spirit of Eiichiro Oda's universe. Every battle feels like stepping into one of the anime's most explosive moments.
Fast, Chaotic, and Addictive Gameplay
The gameplay is undoubtedly the game's greatest strength. Battles are fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly rewarding. Whether you're launching hundreds of enemies into the air, chaining together devastating combos, or unleashing spectacular special moves, the game rarely gives you a moment to slow down. What impressed me most is how well the combat captures the individuality of each character. Rather than feeling like simple reskins, many fighters have unique abilities and playstyles that encourage experimentation. This variety helps keep the experience fresh even across dozens of battles. The destruction effects, collapsing environments, and sheer scale of combat also contribute to making every encounter feel larger and more impactful than in previous entries.
A Love Letter to One Piece Fans
For fans of One Piece, one of the biggest appeals is seeing beloved characters recreated in a fully playable form. The roster is extensive, allowing players to control heroes, villains, and fan-favorite characters from across the series. The game takes some liberties when adapting certain story arcs, but its primary goal is clearly to celebrate the franchise rather than provide a perfect retelling. As a result, it succeeds far more as a fun action game than as a replacement for the anime or manga. Even so, seeing iconic moments recreated with the game's explosive presentation remains incredibly enjoyable.
Even Better With Friends
While the game is perfectly enjoyable alone, I genuinely believe it becomes even more entertaining when played with friends. Whether playing online or locally, the cooperative experience amplifies everything that already works well. The battlefield becomes even more chaotic, special attacks become more spectacular, and the overall experience feels closer to the carefree fun that One Piece itself often represents. There are many games that offer good combat, but few manage to create the same sense of shared chaos and excitement that Pirate Warriors 4 can provide when played together.
Graphics and Presentation
Visually, the game does a great job of reproducing the colorful and energetic style of the anime. Characters are instantly recognizable, attacks are flashy without becoming unreadable, and the battlefield destruction helps sell the fantasy of powerful pirates clashing on a massive scale. The visual effects, smoke, debris, and exaggerated animations all contribute to making combat feel impactful and satisfying.
Final Verdict
ONE PIECE: PIRATE WARRIORS 4 is exactly the kind of game it sets out to be: a fast, explosive, and highly entertaining action title that embraces everything fans love about One Piece. It is not a game built around realism or deep tactical combat. Instead, it focuses on delivering pure fun, and it succeeds remarkably well at doing so. The frenetic gameplay, large character roster, spectacular attacks, and cooperative modes make it easy to recommend. If you enjoy One Piece, Musou-style games, or simply want a game where you can switch off your brain and unleash absolute chaos for a few hours, this is an easy recommendation. Even more so if you have friends willing to join the adventure.

купил ради сисек нико робин и остался доволен (нами на втором месте)
The game is a lot of fun but if you play it on the steam deck the cutscenes will not play, everything else is great, I think steam should remove it from the fully verified list.
Two things need to be true for you to consider buying this game: 1. You need to be a fan of One Piece, and ideally caught up through at least the Wano arc. If you're buying DLC, you should be through Egghead, because there are some spoilers for Egghead characters in there. 2. You need to enjoy Musou games... a lot. Because even as a big fan of Musou games, I can admit that this is not really a great Musou game. They already are mindless grind games, but this one is especially mindless and especially grindy. If one of these aren't true, just don't even bother. If both are true, hey, welcome, it's a lot of mindless action and you can do silly things like play as Whitebeard to help the Straw Hats in Alabasta.
