DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is one of those games I would still recommend playing before jumping into the second one. Not because it is perfect, because it is absolutely not. It has its clunky moments, some fights can be annoying, and you can feel the first-game bones in a lot of places. But that is also kind of why I think it matters. Xenoverse 1 sets the foundation. It introduces the whole Time Patrol concept, lets you create your own character, throws you into the Dragon Ball timeline, and gives you that first “wait, I get to be part of this?” feeling. That is the charm of it. Instead of just watching iconic Dragon Ball moments happen, you get dropped into the middle of them like some custom-made chaos gremlin with questionable hair and main-character confidence. You are not just playing as Goku or Vegeta. You are your own fighter, running around history, fixing timeline nonsense, and inserting yourself into battles you have probably watched a hundred times. It can be rough around the edges, but I still think it is worth experiencing. The story feels more special when you start here, and the second game hits better when you actually understand what the first one was trying to do. Xenoverse 1 walked so Xenoverse 2 could sprint around the battlefield screaming. It may not be the smoothest game ever, but it has heart, nostalgia, and a really fun concept. If you care about the Xenoverse games at all, do yourself a favor and start here.

Still fun in 2026, playing it on my PC after playing it on my XBOX 360 many years ago so I can transfer my data to Xenoverse 2 and start playing it lol

Got the 100% while waiting in anticipation for Xenoverse 3's launch. Definitely worth the few dollars when on sale, if not on sale then just play the 10yr life spanned sequel (Xenoverse 2).

Very good. Though I do advise you to play with a controller. Playing with keyboard and mouse is a devilish demonic nightmare. Overall the game is 10/10

A game I used to play from PS3 to PS4 and now my gaming PC in 2026. Dragon ball is one hell of a series, and this is a really fun first edition to the Xenoverse line. The 2nd one is obviously times better, but I'm mostly here for the nostalgia and to experience the first part of the story once again.
