crash on launch, emailings too much work, its a 6850mxt amd advantage laptop with ryzen 9 6900hxcpu. It just wont open when I hit play it loads for 5 seconds and goes back to the play button appearing. Using a quest 2, tried with nothing changed oculus link, airlink, oculus killer, VD, and steam link, still doesnt work.
can't recenter? How do I get a refund?!?!?!
There's no way to laterally calibrate your seat, so if you have a larger room-scale space with your desk/chair off to one side you NEED to move it to the middle because the game only offers vertical and forward/back calibration. It assumes the left/right centre of the space is correct... It doesn't work well on vive interfaces at all. The tutorial and in-game controllers are all modelled after the quest's. You need to figure out that "X" is up on the left pad, that clicking the right stick is grip or something. The worst of it is that the hand orientation is completely wrong; you need to twist your right arm outward to get the ship to simply remain level. It's very bizarre, because it the ships dont take input unless you're gripped, and the tutorial even says "let go of the stick so you don't lose control", but the race starts out with your ship in a tumble. This [difference between expected quest hand orientation and real vive layout] would be fine if it used relative input, id est upon taking grip any motion from that point be taken by the ship, but even though it uses this grip functionality it works via an absolute system...meaning you have to point your hand in the "correct" orientation as soon as you choose to grip because all inputs are relative to this static position.
I've been looking for a game exactly like this since i got into VR. The motion controls are fluid and intuitive, the tracks are unique and all of them look awesome and the asynchronous multiplayer makes me want to hunt the next highest rank on the leaderboard. I've noticed some long loading times which seem to be related to server connection issues when syncing, but nothing serious. The playerbase still seems to be small, so i invite you to join for a insanely fun racing game! I am playing on a Ryzen 7 with a Geforce GTX 970 with an Oculus Quest 2 using Virtual Desktop by the way and the game runs flawlessly!
I was hoping after I bought this and tried it for the first time, that with time (a whole year) it would fix some of the more annoying bugs, but it has not. To make sure I am not just leaving a negative review and not leaving feedback, here is the issues still making this pretty unplayable. - The controls are so "absolute" when you turn, Adding a bit of drag with the controls would help to pilot the hovercraft. Even a slight turn as it is now is so severe. I have played VRChat maps that do hovercraft control better to be honest. it needs adjustments. - The calibration is not precise and is off by like 1m when you do calibrate your position. This makes setting up for play an absolute pain trying to guess where your center of playspace is, along with also trying to line up where you sit by trying to calibrate with noting that its 1 m off. This is deal breaker for me because it is actually a pain in the ass. - The tracks need to be wider, and taller for the speeds and horrible turning. The vessel goes so fast which I like, and the turns are so sharp, so you end up not only dropping 70% of your speed at every turn, but then you also have to turn sideways. This is not fun, its more annoying then fun. On top of this, the tracks are very narrow and clausterphobic. For how fast you move and the difficult controls, you often lose momentum by hitting a wall, roof, ground, etc if you are not precisely going to exact speed you need to and breaking precisely when you need to. The tracks need to be wider, and the roof of the tracks needs to be somewhat visible and a lot higher. I got this game to go fast, fly around corners at 800 km, and I want to continue that momentum. It almost feels these vehicles are more based on drone racing, and less like what I thought it would be, a love letter to wipeout. I am uninstalling, and this will sit on my virtual shelf till those things are fixed. Based on my times and other peoples times, its clear other people are suffering from the same problems. The controls are just not good currently, the tracks are too small, handling needs love, and they need to fix the reset position calibrations because its completely off.
Great game! probably the best and most fun VR futuristic racing game after ballisticNG and Pacer I have played, more crazy tracks and awesome music please Devs... graphics could be better though. Edit - They are not bringing their graphically upgraded Omega Pilot Evolution game to PC so I don't recommend this game anymore because the graphics on it will eventually make you want the second game which isn't coming to PC.
Played a lot on meta quest. My favorite VR racing game for now. Don't requiere any 3rd party accessory like a hotas or a wheel
so sad no one play today, its so a great game, one of the best vr game I've played...
Es inmanejable.....tomar una curva es complicadisimo.En el primer circuito incluso atravese las paredes y me salí del circuito....!!!
